0.3 and onward roadmap

[p]You might have seen a new addition to the Steam page... in next month's version 0.3, we're introducing the game's first DLC pack, Galactic Expedition![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]A special new mode will also be available in DLC pack folders, introducing a bit of a twist to the established gameplay. It's a fun new way to experience these songs... or a horrific and sweaty challenge? It's up to you!! Find out more soon...[/p][p][/p][p]Avid rhythm gamers will probably note from the artist list that we're committed to making the DLC for this game top shelf stuff--we want everyone to feel that both the base game and additional packs are easily worth their price tags! And on that note, we're continuing to reinforce the value of the base game by adding two more Core Append songs in this update, including our first collaboration with another rhythm game. What could it be...?[/p][p][/p][p]0.3 will also expand the rating system somewhat--you've probably seen some charts pushing the edges of their difficulty block, but there are several cases where they'd be at the other edge of the next difficulty block if they were moved! In order to accomodate these, we're splitting the 8000s and 9000s blocks into three blocks (8000s-10000s), with the higher blocks largely being pushed up by 1000. With our system, it's actually possible to make this change without even pushing an update, but the new content release is a good time to try it out. We'll continue to monitor the game's rating scale in pursuit of the most scientific ratings in any rhythm game![/p][p][/p][p]Following 0.3, we'll be focusing on readying the game's Japanese language option ahead of Tokyo Game Show, as well as some additional content we'll unveil at the event, so the next major update is expected to launch in late September! 0.21 "the cheaper prices update" now available!

We've heard feedback that the chart unlock prices in Core Append are too high--we've been keeping an eye on everyone's Kelvin totals and we agree! Balancing stuff is part of what Early Access is about, so bear with us.

You can now get a big discount on a song's charts by increasing its song level! You'll need to pick up at least one of its charts to do this. You can opt to pick up the Kindled chart (it's always the cheapest) to soften up the other unlock prices, or maybe you want to grind out the Maximum right away and then pick up the lower difficulties once they've become much cheaper? It's up to you!

We'll be keeping an eye on feedback and play data as we go for future development, of course. For now, we hope this will help you enjoy the new content introduced in 0.20 more!

0.2 "the CORE APPEND update" now available!

The first major PROJEKT GODHAND Early Access update is now available! That's right, sometimes "early June" is June 1st (maybe 2nd, depending on your timezone).

As you may have seen, this adds 3 new songs to the "GODHAND Core Append" folder (and also adds folder selection to music select so that you can. select the new folder)

We're all excited for new playable content, but there's more! You can now level up individual songs by playing them (get a bonus for playing each of its charts for the first time), and increase your own player level by playing anything (this gets faster based on all of your song levels). What are the levels for? Find out later!

You'll also gain Kelvins by playing anything, which you can spend to unlock songs in Core Append (there'll be way more of these to come in the future!) Boost the Heat Gauge as much as you can to gain Kelvins faster.

Check it out, and keep an eye out for more additions as development continues!

0.2 update coming soon!

As mentioned in the last update, GODHAND 0.2's biggest new feature is an expanding free song folder, "GODHAND Core Append". We're pleased to announce the initial songlist for Core Append, as well as that 0.2 will drop in early June!

As the "new folder" bit implies, we'll also be adding song folder functionality to this update, with the game's default songlist (the stuff you've seen in 0.1) being in the "GODHAND Core" folder.

Core Append charts will be unlocked with a new item: Kelvins can be obtained by clearing any songs, and accumulate more rapidly with higher scores, so be sure to boost that Heat Gauge! You'll obtain Kelvins retroactively for plays recorded in 0.1, so don't worry about missing out.

We're also planning another new feature for 0.2, but it'll be secret for just a little longer...

Early Access first steps

First off: a massive thank you to everyone who's picked up GODHAND in Early Access, and a second thank you to everyone who's already reviewed it! We've already hit Very Positive, and the reception has blown all our expectations out of the water. But of course, this is just the beginning, since Early Access means we've all got a journey ahead until the game's 1.0 release. What's coming next?

The #1 thing we're hearing people want is more GODHAND. Reviews and comments often note that the songlist right now isn't as large as they'd like. All said: that's great! We're glad you're enjoying the game enough to want more, especially because there's more coming.

Next month, we'll be bringing new base content in the form of GODHAND Core Append. The current list of 25 songs will be known as "GODHAND Core", while Core Append will be a gradually expanding folder of new content at no additional cost. Look forward to 3 new songs in its initial launch, and further additions both as we head toward the 1.0 release and afterward!

As you might be aware, the first part of the game's story, ACT 1 "paradiso" will also be base content, so that's another 10 songs coming to you in the game's 1.0 release.

If that's still not enough, we've got some further announcements down the line, but let's be patient for now...

In other news, we're aware of some minor issues that we'll also be fixing probably within the next week, and you'll be seeing some improvements to the game's automatic difficulty rating system in the next few updates.

...Basically, if you like what you're seeing now, let's all look forward to the future! In the meantime, be sure to tell your friends how much fun you're having demolishing your keyboards!!
