V.7023 Update

First patch 24 hours after launch! We never like having bugs, but we do like fixing them quickly.
Stability has been good so far, with 97% of players not encountering any issues! With this update, we hope to push that number even higher!


Patch Notes:
  • Fixing intermittent crash with Chaos physics on carrier destruction.
  • Removed wishlist button from front end.
  • Fixed error when clicking to load into a game mode with latency allowed, attempting to load in twice.
  • Fixed issue where input bindings could bind twice, causing an error when grabbing an item after returning to the shipyard.
  • Fixed multiple localisation issues, especially in the Japanese version - 申し訳ありません

Welcome aboard Konfronto Early Access, Commander, we’re thrilled to have you join us. Let’s talk about what you can expect as we chart our course toward version 1.0

Current Version
Our Early Access launch is already packed full of content, with over 170 items available in the game, creating billions of possible combinations. Our core seasons have started, and they will be joined by time-limited one-off special events. At the end of each multiplayer season or event, grand tournaments give players a chance to fight it out to find the best builds and showcase who has really understood the meta. Based on these results, we'll also be adjusting the balance of content to ensure there are as many ways to win as possible. The cups you win are recorded forever, so the earlier you start, the more you can win and keep your spot on the all-time leaderboard!

Immediate Priority
On top of balance passes between seasons, our primary focus following launch will be fixing bugs and improving performance as well as communicating with the community to find which features you really want!


Next Major Update
Our next major update will welcome a new faction of sentient plants to the sector, the Humanitarians. When first encountered, their moniker was believed to indicate a peaceful faction, but it was simply a statement of their preferred dietary requirements, causing some very unpleasant interactions with the first diplomats from Earth. They introduce a new Devour mechanic, letting you sacrifice and 'spare' Crew for permanent item buffs - a lovely bunch once you get to know them.

We will also be adding Simplified and Traditional Chinese to the localisation options.

This update should drop around the start of June, but we will provide more information closer to the date.


And Beyond…
For future releases, we have a number of core tasks we want to release, such as Controller Support, an in-game Progression System and unlockable Achievements, as well as many more special game modes and modifiers. Join our Discord server and let us know what you want added to the game. We always work closely with the community on features and content, as we truly enjoy developing alongside our players and can’t wait to start sharing ideas with everyone.

Aborted Launch


We have been waiting for final approval from Steam but unfortunately, last night they failed the submission because we had 'Spanish - Spain', and 'Spanish - Latin America' listed on the store page, but we only had 'Spanish' in the game. A mistake from when we originally setup the store page and planned to support additional languages.

We resubmitted almost immediately after we received the rejection but we have no way of knowing how long this process is going to take again. It could be another week before we get approval.

Given the importance of appearing on the 'upcoming' lists, we think it's best if we wait for approval and then set a release date for a day or two after that.

I know this will be frustrating for many of you waiting to start playing but you can only imagine how we feel. We lined up multiple sponsored streams to hit this original release date, and now we are stuck in limbo.

Commander! Glad you could make it! Your carrier is nearly ready. We are just running some final checks to make sure we've fixed that rapid unscheduled disassembly issue your predecessor mentioned briefly.
Your scheduled launch date is May 7th, 3PM CET, Earth. I'll leave you to calculate the relative time for your location in space.

Competition Announcement

To celebrate the launch of Konfronto, we are kicking off with a unique competition where you can win a chance to design your very own in-game Character for a future update.

Season 1 of Warp Mode is the place to be, and anyone completing a run of 10 wins with ZERO losses can submit their Carrier into a 10-0 Prize Tournament, which will take place at the end of the season (9am UTC May 19th).

The Grand Champion will work with our art team to immortalise their own character design into the game, it could even be based on your own face!


The Back Story
This competition was inspired by one of our kids, who after seeing Kev Hen of Nine in game,


We loved her design so much, we went ahead and created the fearsome Eggsimilator.

Demo has been updated to V.3119

V.3119 of the demo is live now.

Fixed an issue making the background appear blurry.
Slight update to the defeat fire effect.
Added extra tool tips for UI elements such as DPS.
Added a line to the Crew abilities to include tile unlocking.
Fixed some spaceships facing the wrong direction.
Added more audio for attacks.
Added some missing localisation text.
Various other stability improvements.
