Aborted Launch


We have been waiting for final approval from Steam but unfortunately, last night they failed the submission because we had 'Spanish - Spain', and 'Spanish - Latin America' listed on the store page, but we only had 'Spanish' in the game. A mistake from when we originally setup the store page and planned to support additional languages.

We resubmitted almost immediately after we received the rejection but we have no way of knowing how long this process is going to take again. It could be another week before we get approval.

Given the importance of appearing on the 'upcoming' lists, we think it's best if we wait for approval and then set a release date for a day or two after that.

I know this will be frustrating for many of you waiting to start playing but you can only imagine how we feel. We lined up multiple sponsored streams to hit this original release date, and now we are stuck in limbo.

We will keep you posted on any updates.

Commander! Glad you could make it! Your carrier is nearly ready. We are just running some final checks to make sure we've fixed that rapid unscheduled disassembly issue your predecessor mentioned briefly.
Your scheduled launch date is May 7th, 3PM CET, Earth. I'll leave you to calculate the relative time for your location in space.

Competition Announcement

To celebrate the launch of Konfronto, we are kicking off with a unique competition where you can win a chance to design your very own in-game Character for a future update.

Season 1 of Warp Mode is the place to be, and anyone completing a run of 10 wins with ZERO losses can submit their Carrier into a 10-0 Prize Tournament, which will take place at the end of the season (9am UTC May 19th).

The Grand Champion will work with our art team to immortalise their own character design into the game, it could even be based on your own face!


The Back Story
This competition was inspired by one of our kids, who after seeing Kev Hen of Nine in game,


We loved her design so much, we went ahead and created the fearsome Eggsimilator.

Demo has been updated to V.3119

V.3119 of the demo is live now.

Fixed an issue making the background appear blurry.
Slight update to the defeat fire effect.
Added extra tool tips for UI elements such as DPS.
Added a line to the Crew abilities to include tile unlocking.
Fixed some spaceships facing the wrong direction.
Added more audio for attacks.
Added some missing localisation text.

Konfronto Demo - Available Now!

First and foremost: The demo for Konfronto is now live! Go try it!


But wait! The Mew Republick has a message to prepare you before you dirty your paws in combat:

Konfronto is an inventory management auto battler, what does that even mean?

At the start of every game, you will be given a brand new Intergalactic Carrier with a randomised shape of tiles, there you will be able to fit the different Spaceships, Shield Generators and a crazy array of Tools and Pilots you can recruit from the Trader.

The Spaceships and other Cargo need to be placed on the free space you have in your Carrier, and the Crew can be used to Pilot and enhance your Spaceships or to clean free the blocked space on your Carrier to have more tiles on the next rounds!

Once you think you have the best Carrier a commander such as Duke Skyclawer could only dream of, join the Battle! And see your Carrier engage in asynchronous battles with other players all over the galaxy.

What does the Demo contain?

👾Over 50 Spaceships and other cargo to place in your Carrier
🎉Over 15 different Fusions to discover
🧑‍✈️Over 15 different Crew members to help you on the battlefield and pilot some of the craziest Spaceships you have seen in an inventory management sci-fi auto battler (call us if you see any other inventory management sci-fi auto battlers, thanks)

The placement of Cargo in your Carrier is very important! When you are dragging items to your carrier, make sure to check the squares and triangles that will light up when you place them next to other cargo that activates their effects.

Here is a Sneak peek of the different wacky factions you will encounter in Konfronto’s world:

😺The Mew Republick: A rebel bunch of cats from a galaxy far far away. They have a wide array of common spaceships you will find early on. They specialise in destroying the shields of enemy carriers while having an assortment of secret tools under their hood, some even would say they have enough tools to destroy an empire.
If you manage to find some of their legendary artefacts don’t miss them or you will regret it!

🤖The Poultron Collective: These cyborg chickens have bad temper. They are chickens, they are also cyborgs, they lay eggs and will lay you to victory if you can trust them.
When using Poultrons your Spaceships and Generators will create Power Surge, a valuable resource that will enhance your Poultron Spaceships beyond the damage any other faction can offer you. And you will also have scrambled eggs for breakfast, which is always a good deal.

🧙‍♀️P.R.O.T.E.C.T.: Have you ever seen a wizard pilot a magic sword spaceship? The P.R.O.T.E.C.T. (Write it this way lest you incur the wrath of Barrowman the White watching through his Palantir) are a group of space wizards with some of the wackiest techno magic you will see in this universe (multiverse existence to be confirmed).
They specialise in generating Shields like no others, but beware, some of their spells that can turn those very shields into spells that will disintegrate your carrier’s hull before your very eyes.

The more observant amongst you may be able to catch a glimpse about some of the factions to come in the future:

🍔Just Fleet: The fastest Spaceships with the lowest paid pilots in the universe bringing defeat right to your door (please, leave them a tip)
🧟Deadshirts: These zombies seek out new life and new civilisations… and promptly kill them… Best avoid eh?

And many more crazy factions to come in the future!

Once you start familiarising yourself with the systems of Konfronto and get your first victories, you will see that after each run ends you will see your rank go up or down.
The rank you gain is calculated based on how many wins you manage to achieve before your lives run out, so make sure to try to make the most out of each life to get more points!

Once you gather enough ranking points you will rank up, making you match against stronger starship commanders with even more fearsome carriers to battle and you’ll spot advanced strategies moments before your Carrier explodes!

Flaming Fowl are excited to announce their new project, Konfronto. A sci-fi auto battler, pack filled with more parodies and puns than an episode of Red Dwarf.


[h3]Take command of your own intergalactic carrier, upgrading it with a wide array of deadly spaceships and weird and wonderful technology designed to obliterate anyone foolish enough to oppose you in asynchronous multiplayer.

The position of your cargo items can trigger awesome combos with each other or combine to create entirely new technology. Hire crew to uncover rewards hidden in derelict areas of your Carrier then put them to work flying your starships.

All of this results in billions of possible combinations, meaning that each run will always be different.

About the Publisher
Eh well it’s just us again actually. Most publishers seem to be hibernating this year so we figured we would just do it ourselves. It doesn’t seem that hard so far, you just have to write the occasional press release and not say anything stupid.
