1.0 Release and Patch Notes - Konfronto Has Left Early Access!

[p]After 9 months of steady iteration and refinement based on feedback from our incredible community, Konfronto 1.0 has arrived!

Jump in now and experience newly-updated visuals, a revamped UI, overhauled gameplay systems, refined match-making, and Spaceships and weapons balanced and honed to a razor’s edge.[/p][p]
Achievements are live, and unlocking them now awards players with the ability to customise their character portraits and their carrier.[/p][p]
As you navigate the new front end, you’ll find an in-game glossary explaining all the terms used throughout the game, and a new Collection feature, in which you’ll find information on all the items you have used in-game, as well as those you have won a run with.

Once in-game, as well as new visuals you’ll find improvements to the way damage and buffs/debuffs are shown during combat that make following a battle in real time more exciting and easier than ever, and improvements and fixes to post-battle stats.[/p][p]
We’ve also rebalanced our Carrier Systems, benefiting from feedback from our community spending time with the changes we made to how these work in the last patch.[/p][h3]

  • [p]Fixed a number of crash issues. Over 96% of crashes we see are due to out of date graphics card Direct X drivers. We are unable to message you if you crash because of this, or tell you it’s the reason you’re crashing. Please, if you can, update your drivers.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that caused the Victory/Defeat UI to sometimes disappear.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that allowed players to reroll their Carrier Systems indefinitely by closing their client at a specific time.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that allowed players to move the position of Carrier Systems.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that caused the Top Damage Dealt box in the combat log to not show anything.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a bug that caused the reaction speech bubbles to remain on after player has turned them off in the settings.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed an issue that sometimes kicked you back to the main menu after fusing two items.[/p]

  • [p]Fixed an issue where Konfronto’s name would not change to its local name on the title screen when the client is set to Chinese, Japanese or Korean.[/p]

Konfronto 1.0 release date confirmed, and the 0.10 update is live now.

[p]We are beyond excited to announce that Konfronto will leave Early Access and launch the 1.0 update on February 23, 2026.
[/p][p]Konfronto 1.0 will get Achievements, and a major UI overhaul, with the menus, Trader screen and battle screen receiving some much needed love. 1.0 will also bring an in-game catalogue of items, and a glossary with explanations of all the terms used in-game (our two most requested features). [/p][p]
We expect the beta for this build to be available for all Early Access players in the very near future.
[/p][p]Laying the foundation for this huge update is our final Early Access patch, with some pretty big balance changes that impact the first few turns of the game. We’ve also made some changes to matchmaking, resulting in easier matches for players at lower ranks.
[/p][h3]Major balance changes[/h3]
  • [p]Space Junk and the three Shield Generators that activate on being attacked (Tower Shield, Warded Shield, and Scrap Shield) will now only activate a maximum of once per turn.[/p]
  • [p]Unlocking Carrier Systems will now offer 3 choices, from any Carrier System type. Players will be able to reroll these choices, allowing everyone a chance to get an econ option regardless of which Carrier they got at the start of a match.

  • [p]Getting a good Trader early is crucial, with the first turn’s Trader offerings potentially being the most impactful in the game. Now that reroll (and every first reroll when entering the Trader screen) will cost only 5 credits.[/p]
  • [p]Spaceship cooldowns have been reviewed, with many small ships getting longer cooldowns and large ships getting shorter cooldowns. In most of these cases, their attack has been adjusted to compensate. [/p][p][/p]

    Everyone wants econ early, which meant any Carrier without the Crew Chambers Carrier Systems felt like they were at a disadvantage. Now every Carrier will have the same chance to find Trash Panda. We should probably nerf Trash Panda.[/p]

To access the beta, right click Konfronto in your library, select Properties > Betas and toggle Beta Participation to Open Beta. Konfronto will do a mini-update, and then you’re good to go.

1.0 launch coming in Q1, 2026

[p]Hello friends. We come to you today with the news that we will bring Konfronto out of Early Access in the very near future, Q1 2026.
[/p][p]This is later than we had previously announced, but also earlier than would be required for us to deliver a single player campaign that meets the level of gameplay depth and polish we’d want to deliver, and so we have made the difficult decision to put development of the single player campaign on hold, and finish Konfronto as close to the timeframe we promised as possible.[/p][p]
Doing this will allow us to deliver additional important quality of life features we had deprioritised in favour of the campaign, and we’re excited to share more information on what those are with you very soon.[/p][p]
Before 1.0 we have one more update, 0.10, which will be with you before the end of January. This will feature important bug fixes, some balance changes targeting the first 2 turns of the game, and lay the foundations for our 1.0 release. [/p][p]
