Dying Light: The Beast developers are working on fixes for broken day-night cycles and indoor rain


Techland's Dying Light: The Beast launched last week and is, sources say, "a good Dying Light game, and a fine open-world zombie game in general, full of crunchy combat and simple but satisfying number-go-up loops". Being a new videogame, it also has some bugs. The most dramatic of these appear to be problems with its day/night cycle and weather system.

Hotfix 1.2.1 just dropped on PC

[p]Hotfix 1.2.1 for Dying Light: The Beast just dropped on PC, so make sure to update your game! It'll appear on consoles soon![/p][p]The fix addresses the issues with Indoor Rain and the Disturbed Day/Night Cycle.[/p][p]Once the hotfix will be live on all platforms, the APEX Car Skin will be waiting in the in-game stash for all of you who pre-ordered the game or own it through the Dying Light 2 Ultimate Edition.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience and ongoing feedback![/p][p]

It's hard to talk about Dying Light: The Beast—the latest in Techland's open-world zombie parkour action series—without talking about its origins. While now living life as a full-priced retail game with a respectable ~20 hour campaign (and one that I enjoyed for the most part), The Beast started out as a planned expansion for Dying Light 2, itself a game that has grown, adapted and reshaped itself over the past few years, much like its genetically feisty mutant monsters.

Hotfix 1.2.1 Update – Indoor Rain & Day/Night Cycle

[p]We’re aware that you're experiencing issues with Indoor Rain and the Disturbed Day/Night Cycle, and fixing them is our top priority.[/p][p]We already have a fix prepared, but because this bug only appears in rare situations, it takes a lot of extra testing.[/p][p]We'll continue these tests over the weekend and most of Monday, and if no new occurrences of this issue appear, we’ll release the hotfix to players right away on PC. This is our goal.[/p][p]If, however, we still spot any occurrences of the bug, we might need to go back, adjust the fix, and then re-test it again.[/p][p]Thank you for your patience.
