Dying Light was always about reactivity and making the world respond naturally to your every move. After hearing your requests, we’ve introduced a new human-enemy behavior - melee-weapon enemies will now recognize when you’re aiming a firearm at them and might decide to surrender rather than losing their life. Depending on your actions then this scenario can unfold in a number of ways, but we’ll leave them to you to discover.  [/p][p]NEW WEAPON EXECUTIONS
We’ve added 9 thrilling new finishers for different weapon variants. To help you experience them factor here are the weapon types where you can expect new, brutal execution animations:[/p]

PUBG MOBILE is coming to Dying Light: The Beast with a new quest and a set of rewards.

To access the crossover, visit the Dying Light Outpost event page and activate it there. This will automatically add the exclusive Airdrop Finder car skin to your in-game stash and unlock the Skillet quest, which will trigger after you complete the Power Gambit main story mission.

Your rewards for completing this new quest will be a collection of PUBG Mobile-themed items. Whack zombies with the series’ iconic Killing Pan, hit a homerun with the Battle Royale Bat, or use both to leave the infected with some serious headaches, thanks to their increased skull damage. Additionally grab the new Marked Man outfit and wear the individual Gear Items to earn more XP, deal more headshot damage and make bullets even more devastating with increased firearm damage. And that’s still not all! Affix the Battleground Keychain charm to your trusty weapon to increase your chances of the three D’s: decapitating, dismembering or destroying enemy limbs.

So, what are you waiting for? There might be a bounty on your head, but the rewards will be worth it. The Dying Light: The Beast x PUBG Mobile quest will be available from October 31 until November 21, 2025.

Dying Light: The Beast x PUBG Mobile Collaboration

[p]Hey Dying Light: The Beast fans, It’s Tymon here, Dying Light Franchise Director. [/p][p]
We’ve got something quite special for you this time. The first-ever crossover for Dying Light: The Beast is here - two icons of survival meet face to face: Dying Light: The Beast and PUBG MOBILE.[/p][p]
At first glance, these two worlds couldn’t be more different. One thrives on intense, close-up horror, unbounded parkour and physical, melee-centric, physics-based combat, while the other tests your nerves in heart-pounding Battle Royale matches full of big shootouts. But as our Game Director Nathan Lemaire puts it: “At their heart, what unites them is a singular, powerful focus: survival.”[/p][p]
That’s exactly what inspired this collaboration. The PUBG MOBILE team and Techland devs worked closely to bring the true survival-horror spirit of Dying Light into their universe - and to weave the essence of PUBG MOBILE back into Dying Light: The Beast.[/p][p][/p][p]A Two-way collaboration[/p][p]In Dying Light: The Beast, this crossover takes the form of a new quest that unlocks after the main story quest “Power Gambit”, and begins with a mysterious radio call warning the residents of Castor Woods about you - Kyle Crane. [/p][p]
At the same time The Baron starts dropping weapon-filled airdrops into the valley to arm those willing to hunt you down. But naturally, you’ll want to get there first! As the quest progresses you’ll explore several locations across Castor Woods, racing to reach the drops before the Baron’s forces do. Of course there will be surprises along the way - and some serious rewards waiting at the end.[/p][p][/p][p]Loot, Gear, and… the Pan![/p][p]Producer of the collaboration, Wojciech Drożdż, explains that to take part in the collaboration you need to activate it at the Dying Light Outpost. You can actually do it right now here which will secure your Airdrop Finder car skin to be delivered to your in-game stash when the event starts on October 31st, and ready to be collected till the event ends November 21, 2025.  [/p][p]Completing the whole mission chain in-game unlocks a full set of PUBG MOBILE-themed items:[/p]
  • [p]Marked Man Outfit - individual gear pieces that grant XP boosts, increased headshot damage, and stronger firearm attacks.[/p]
  • [p]Battleground Keychain - a special weapon charm that increases your chances of decapitating, dismembering, or destroying enemy limbs.[/p]
  • [p]The Frying Pan & Baseball Bat – two classic melee weapons that hit just as hard as they look. And yes, you can finally take out the Infected with the most iconic pan in video game history.[/p]
[p][/p][p]As Wojciech says, “Taking out Infected with cookware is just as satisfying as getting your first frying pan kill in PUBG MOBILE.” [/p][p][/p][p]Survival knows no platform[/p][p]While Dying Light: The Beast players are diving into airdrops and frying pan chaos, PUBG MOBILE players will also get a taste of Dying Light’s horror atmosphere, facing off against zombies take straight from Dying Light: The Beast (including the Biter, Viral, and Charger), appearing across classic maps like Livik and Erangel in the themed mode and Zombie Uprising map in Metro Royale. [/p][p][/p][p]Keeping the lore of Dying Light: The Beast each zombie type poses a different level of threat: Biters are slow but pose a problem in groups; Virals move faster, attacking in quick succession when close; and Chargers are the toughest, with higher health and two powerful attack methods - tackle and charge. As players fight these monsters they’ll also be able to earn Genome Synthetic Booster syringe, allowing them to tap into Kyle Crane’s Beast Mode, granting enhanced mobility, extra damage reduction, and the ability to unleash the Aerial Smash attack. [/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, in WOW mode, running from October 20 to December 20, players will encounter five zombie types - including Charger, Viral, and three Biter variants - as well as an official crossover map themed around Dying Light: The Beast. [/p][p][/p][p]The PUBG MOBILE side of the collaboration is already live, so it’s a great opportunity to download the game on your mobile device, jump in and experience this unique crossover. [/p][p]

Dying Light: The Beast 11 Week Roadmap

[p]Hey Survivors - Tymon here, Franchise Director for Dying Light. [/p][p][/p][p]Four weeks have passed since the release of Dying Light: The Beast so we’re slowly moving into the post-launch phase of the release and as we’ve recently announced there’s a number of new features and activities happening in the game that you can look forward to. Last week we gave you a bird’s eye view on the 11 week plan that covers the time till the end of the year but I’d like to use this dev blog to uncover some details about what we’re planning.  [/p][p][/p][p]Call of the Beast[/p][p]Let’s start with Call of the Beast which is already happening as you read this. We announced this global community initiative to bring players together for 11 weeks of clear, weekly goals and exclusive rewards. The first challenge is already wrapped, the second has kicked off, and the momentum you’ve generated is exactly why we designed it this way: contribute during the week and the reward lands directly in your in-game stash. [/p][p][/p][p]Across the campaign there are 22 total goals, with a secret Legendary Reward unlocked if the community completes at least 17 of them. And if collectively we reach 20 goals, everyone who took part at least once will receive all of the weekly rewards. To see each week’s objective, the community’s progress, and whether you’re eligible for the stash delivery, head to the dedicated page on Dying Light Outpost. With your joint effort, every Thursday becomes another chance to prove what the pack can do. This week we ask you to kill zombies using dropkicks, which will be rewarded with a 80s inspired “Sunset” car skin and matching machete weapon. [/p][p]
[/p][p]New Game + and Legend Levels[/p][p]But Call of the Beast is not all we have prepared for you - it’s time to shine more light on the systems that extend replayability and endgame depth. New Game+ returns - concept that you’re familiar with, but tuned for Dying Light: The Beast. You can replay the whole game while keeping your XP progression, skills, and items from the first pass, and of course you can chain multiple NG+ runs one after another to maximize the skill tree. But beware - each loop strengthens enemies and increases the pressure in ways that fit our melee-first, physics-driven sandbox. To make that loop meaningful, Legend Levels will be released alongside NG+. You can expect more Legend Skills than in our previous games, including exclusive ones aimed at cranking up the Beast Mode. As you rise, you’ll also gain access to stronger weapons giving you more control over the game’s challenges. [/p][p][/p][p]With that we’re also introducing a new weapon rarity with exclusive visuals, and you’ll begin to see it as you raise your Legend Levels. The goal is simple: make late-game gear feel earned and rewarding. [/p][p]
[/p][p]Nightmare Mode[/p][p]Now, about Nightmare Mode. This will come after the Legend Levels/NG+ update and our goal here is to make this difficulty more than just “harder numbers.” Yes, enemies will do more damage and the game more demanding, but that isn’t the point on its own. We’d like to try a more realistic survival loop - so expect some new mechanics in that regard. In parallel, we’re currently looking into each of our bosses to see how we can adjust their behaviors to make them more unpredictable. On top of that we’re also considering some neat tweaks to our Volatile enemies - these are just intentions, so I don’t want to promise too much, but we’re looking at games like Alien: Isolation or Resident Evil 3: Nemesis for inspiration. [/p][p]
[/p][p]Ray Tracing[/p][p]Technical and visual upgrades will be part of this 11 week push as well. During this roadmap window, we’re bringing PC Ray Tracing support to Dying Light: The Beast, and we’ll continue to roll out improvements that elevate the moment-to-moment feel without compromising performance. The priority across all these beats is the same: deepen replayability, strengthen endgame identity, and keep every return to Castor Woods purposeful.[/p][p][/p][p]That’s the shape of the coming weeks: Call of the Beast every Thursday, NG+ with expanded Legend Levels, a new weapon rarity and executions, a survival-driven take on Nightmare, and visual enhancements on PC. Thank you for the energy you’ve brought to the opening weeks - your response powers what we build next.[/p][p][/p][p]PUBG Mobile collaboration[/p][p]But that’s still not all - the first crossover for Dying Light: The Beast will happen very soon, starting next week, on October 31! Two iconic survival franchises collide: Dying Light: The Beast’s horror meets PUBG Mobile’s high-stakes action. You can expect a new quest line, that unfolds after the main story’s “Power Gambit,” and rewards in the collaboration include PUBG Mobile-themed items: the Killing Pan, Battle Royale Bat, Marked Man outfit, Gear Items for extra XP and damage, and the Battleground Keychain charm to enhance decapitation, dismemberment, or limb destruction. To activate the quest visit the Dying Light Outpost event page (you can do it right now - HERE). [/p][p][/p][p]Next week you can also expect new weapon executions to expand the finishing options available to you already - but that’s just a very bloody cherry on top, innit?[/p][p][/p][p]See you in the Castor Woods!
