Update 2.1.0 - Incendiary Tweaks

[p]Hello![/p][p]Turns out the engine update broke the fire pools left by Molotovs. Enemies could run right into them and push them away without burning to a crisp, which looked very silly.[/p][p]While I intended this patch to be a simple bug fix, I ended up having to tweak the mechanics for fire pools to address it. Hence why this is Update 2.1.0 instead of Update 2.0.2.[/p][p]And since I was already playing with fire, I slightly buffed the Incendiary SMG because I felt like it. [/p][p]It's pretty hard to debug issues with fire pool collision since it's so closely tied to the engine, so please let me know if you still see them acting strangely.[/p][p][/p][p]Size: 3.7 MB[/p][p][/p]
Balancing & Tweaks
[p]Fire Pools[/p]
  • [p]Hopefully fixed fire pools colliding with enemies instead of burning them as expected.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed fire pools occasionally bouncing off walls or moving around on their own by disabling wall collision.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed fire pools still burning enemies for a brief period after disappearing. As a result, their duration has been reduced by ~11%.[/p]
[p]For clarification, fire pools are spawned when an incendiary projectile hits something. The only weapons that use incendiary projectiles are the Molotov and the Incendiary SMG. The Flamethrower uses its own projectile and is unaffected by these changes.[/p][p]The duration reduction is technically a nerf, but it means that the duration now matches up with the visuals as intended.[/p][p][/p][p]Molotov[/p]
  • [p]Reduced fire pool duration by ~11%.[/p]
[p]This is just restating the above fix to fire pools. Molotovs already had a long fire pool duration, so this change shouldn't hurt it too much.[/p][p][/p][p]Incendiary SMG[/p]
  • [p]Increased fire pool duration by ~15%.[/p]
    • [p]This factors in the previously mentioned duration reduction.[/p]
  • [p]Increased fire pool radius by 20%. [/p]
[p]While the fire pools spawned by the Incendiary SMG projectiles are still small, this slight size and duration buff should make them more useful for burning crowds of enemies rushing towards you.[/p][p][/p]
Fixes
• [p]Fixed certain particle effects causing error spam in the logs.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed enemies being able to path through walls in the "whatever" room. [/p]
  • [p]Fixed enemies blowing themselves up if they were alerted while looking at an explosive barrel. Don't ask.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the "Additional Ricochets" option for the Ricochet Rounds mutator displaying decimal places. No, you can't have half a ricochet.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Did you know that Vivi sometimes hides her molotovs?[/p][p]Zdann[/p]

Update 2.0.1

[p]Hello![/p][p]This is just a small hotfix to fix some text on the Game Over screen.[/p][p][/p][p]Size: 2.1 MB[/p]
Fixes
• [p]Fixed the Enemies Killed stat on the Game Over screen showing decimal places. No, you can't kill half an enemy.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Thanks![/p][p]Zdann[/p]

Update 2.0.0 - Engine Upgrade

[p]Hello![/p][p]First off, I'd just like to say that it's cool seeing people compete on the leaderboards! I saw high scores on there that I couldn't even imagine setting myself, which means I am officially worse at my own game than the community. Bravo, everyone.[/p][p]With that out of the way, let's talk about our latest update: 2.0.0. (If I was doing version numbering right before, this would probably be update 4.0.0 or 5.0.0. But let's ignore that.)[/p][p]This is a long overdue engine upgrade, going from Godot 4.3 to Godot 4.5. I had initially skipped Godot 4.4 because it broke windowed support for the game, but thankfully 4.5 addressed those issues.[/p][p]While the upgrade to 4.5 might not be super apparent on the surface, you should notice faster loading times and less shader stutter. That means less time waiting and more time playing. Or maybe you could say, more seconds till destruction.[/p][p]Accompanying this is an upgrade to the latest GodotSteam version, which fixes the issue that prevented me from having Mutator-enabled leaderboards. While that still isn't ready just yet, look forward to seeing it in a later patch![/p][p]Finally, please let me know if you notice anything off after this patch. Engine upgrades can break things sometimes.[/p][p][/p][p]Size: 58.3 MB[/p]
Tweaks & Additions
• [p]Updated the engine to Godot 4.5.[/p]
    • [p]Loading and shader compilation times should be much faster now![/p]
    • [p]This probably does some other things but I didn't read through the patch notes.[/p]
  • [p]Updated the GodotSteam GDExtension to 4.16.[/p]
  • [p]Updated legal notices for Godot and GodotSteam.[/p]
  • [p]Didn't update the localization files. Not this time.[/p]
Fixes
• [p]Fixed buttons in the Statistics section of the Database not playing sounds when hovering over them with your cursor. (Unplayable, I know.)[/p]
[p][/p][p]Thanks for playing![/p][p]Zdann[/p]

Update 1.4.1 - Leaderboard Challenge Fixes

[p]Hello![/p][p]As usual, pushing an update caused bugs to materialize out of nowhere, but they should be fixed now. Shoutouts to Jakapoa for the report![/p][p]I also added some text clarifying what the challenge button does on the leaderboard, since you probably wouldn't know if you didn't read the announcements.[/p][p][/p][p]Size: 4.2 MB[/p]
Tweaks & Additions
• [p]Updated the localization files. [/p]
  • [p]Added a note to the leaderboard challenge prompt clarifying that it will start a run using the opponent's seed.[/p]
Fixes
• [p]Fixed leaderboard challenges granting you the wrong weapons depending on your current player level.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Mutator Roulette leaderboard challenges starting a run with the wrong settings if you restarted.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Mutator Roulette not displaying mutator descriptions after restarting a run.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Thanks for playing![/p][p]Zdann[/p]
