Community Bug-Report Hotfixing #4

Greetings!

I've yet come up with another update post, though there have been countless updates to the Demo past week and such. This post marks the fourth big update that needs a little something announced.

First and foremost, I might stop updating the Demo content-wise, and will come back to it with various bug-fixes if - of course - the community will report them either here on Steam, or on Ravensthorn Discord ( https://discord.gg/4YmS2ftX3u ) in the designated channel. Stopping updating the Demo doesn't mean that my work here is done, and as you all that tried it out could see there are missing crafts, foodstuff and the list could go on and on, it just means that I'll focus on the main branch of the game, that as how I want will most probably hit Steam somewhere later this year if all goes well.
To end this paragraph, I'll remember those interested in my work that most probably the save files will be shared among the Demo / Open Beta release once it hits the platform, and my biggest wish is that when I'll launch it there should be a co-op option for those that want to make some memories in this fairytale setting.

Regarding this last content update, I've added some sauce to that nightfall sound that scares even me at times, some more content regarding crafting that is discontinued, lots of QoL resolves and some bug fixing such as in the means of that invisible inventory upon load. Although that the update landed on Steam last night, and this post is written just now I must confess that time was not on my side and every new change or update wasn't fully tested yet, so indeed there might be some more bug-fixing updates.
Also, because the stairs from Castle Ravensthorn are indeed steep there was added a magic item that will help you on this matter.

If other questions have risen and were not addressed properly or at all, or if some bugs have indeed been forgotten please either come on Discord or here on Steam at Ravensthorn's community and lets have a dialogue. I might've pointed to most important stuff that has happened, but there's always place to improve.

Faithfully,
Musbrich.

Community Bug-Report Hotfixing #3

Hey there!

If some were paying attention, the Demo got three updates since yesterday, with small and various hotfixes, some more polishing and such. I will still be testing the live branch, but if you casually find some more bugs please let me know via Discord ( https://discord.gg/4YmS2ftX3u ) .

Some informations that I feel most should know, there are some used assets that might have a bug or two of their own, that come out from my power of development yet, such as the Inventory one that on load-game makes all of your inventory/equipped tools to become invisible, a quick in-game fix from your side is to either unequip a tool or just pick-up closest forageable item.
Another bug I've encountered is the walking on spot when < C > key is pressed, something I'll address later today most probably. Other bug I've yet to understand are the Tooltips getting blocked on UI after you harvest a forageable or cut down a tree / mine a boulder, but the in-game fix for this is to just hover your crosshair on the same object as your stuck tooltip has.

For now those three ringed in my head and if some are still there, feel free to let me know, or once I'll see them again will do my best to fix it asap. Although they are some casual bugs, they're not game-breaking, meaning your progress / saves won't get stuck or needing a restart of the Demo.

One little hint I want to let you know is that, most possibly, your saved game data will be actually available in-game on the full release, but if you'd like to start fresh for whatever reson go to the main menu's options, there's a delete-save button.

I'd do enjoy some more activity on the Discord honestly, as it feels very empty and some motivation is always most welcomed.

PS. You can now swim! But might fall off the world edge aswell hahaha
PSS. You can now sprint ( SHIFT ), and do some nice super-hero landings xD

Community Bug-Report Hotfixing #2

Hello!

I've made this update on Steam so it is possible for a further community sided bug-report based on hotfixes of what was already reported. Hotfixing #1 was mainly for those long loading times, yet #2 is actually for most of your reports. Somehow, what will be reported in the future, or what was left unaddressed will be taken care of this weekend.

Most notable actions held on this update were polishes of current systems, quality-of-life improvements and baked some cookies.. Although, there's an Easter-Egg in the Changelog in-game. Disclaimer, there are some upgrades here and there, that I haven't yet got time to check if working properly, but I do think they're not game-breaking if not working as intended.

As the usual line goes.. if you're finding any bugs, please let me know via Ravensthorn Discord ( https://discord.gg/4YmS2ftX3u ), and in the meanwhile, happy gaming!

Hello and thank you all that have tested yesterday's Demo. Most of your bug-reports have been fixed! Some of them might still be in the game as I may have forgotten to write everything down, if so, please report them again but this time on Discord please, as it does me a great favor for tracking them easily.

Whatever was left bugged out, will be taken in consideration tomorrow, after I'll revisit my IRL note-book with which I work for the game, but still, if you're trying out the game again, please let me know on Discord what you'll find.

A little easter-egg might be that I've left something in the castle that was meant to be added in the Open Beta release later this year. Might be bugged out aswell, will test it myself on this build in the following moments, but the true meaning of this patch is that I've got rid of what was causing such long loading times.

In the meanwhile, happy gaming and take care!

Thank you!
