SFXEngine Updated to v2.00

A major SFXEngine update is live today. SFXEngine v2.00 has a bunch of new features for new sound creation and batch audio processing. There's a new look, and about 25% of the core code has been rewritten. New features include:

-New sample structure with double pointers, permitting samples beyond 90 seconds and up to several hours (as memory permits).
-New double modulator pointers for increased accuracy.
-New global sample rate option to change the core program frequency. Projects and sounds remain compatible between sample rates and will automatically resample and remap, but all filters will need manual adjustment if resampling.
-New V01 file format for projects and programs. V00 format files will import seamlessly.
-New dynamically allocated floatutility and longutility variables for engines.
-New global transpose and tuning.
-New Revision number per project, incremented upon each save.
-Improved batch csv export to prevent infinite loops, and report if no files are found.
-Improved main wav loader to skip cue chunks.
-New Locate Usage option for samples and modulators will count all uses, and locate the next use, of the current sample or modulator.
-Lots of little bug fixes and improvements.

And more! The complete Bolt-On Bundle is live today too, with a 50% discount when purchasing all Bolt-On DLC. This will prepare the way for new preset/resource packs in 2025.

Argus updated to v1.48

Another small update to Argus tonight. This fixes several small bugs concerning selections, which could remain active on tracks that were deleted or merged, causing future problems and possible crashes. Creating a track now also stops an active selection.

Happy animating!

Argus updated to v1.47

A 4th update this month to animation software Argus today. A few small bug fixes and repairs to how things work, and a few new features.

Changes in the last 4 updates include:
-A fix to render placement when starting a render from a non-zero origin.
-A fix to the check for exceeding texture or geometry frame when initialising 3D mode.
-Repaired the check to exclude consecutive texture frames or geometry frames if the option is ticked.
-Sequencer title bar now shows number of tracks in selection, if this is greater than 1.
-Windows will reset to default positions if the desktop resolution changes between sessions.
-Starting Argus with a film file (.agf) argument will now load the film, permitting a Window double-click of a film.
-And many more...

Argus is free to use for small films, with a simple DLC upgrade to unlock the power for long and complex films. Find Argus here:

Welcome to Argus v1.47

Another small improvement to Argus today:
-A fix to the check for exceeding texture or geometry frame when initialising 3D mode. The check rounded frames to the nearest integer, while rendering rounds down, so the check could give a 'exceeded' warning when this did not actually occur.
-Repaired the check to exclude consecutive texture frames or geometry frames if the option is ticked. This initially only applied to integer values, but now excludes repeating rounded-down floats.

Happy animating!

Welcome to Argus v1.46

A small but important bug fix in this update:
-When starting a render from a non-zero origin, the rendered frame showed the positions at frame+1 rather than frame (compared to the live playback). This has been fixed in this update.

Happy animating!
