[p]Wow! We're super late! But better late than never! How are you everyone? We have a couple of things we'd like to share to you all right now including a brand new demo that flips the whole core gameplay or Relic Abyss in it's head.[/p][p][/p][h2]Relic Abyss joins October Next Fest![/h2][p][/p][p][/p][p]It's already been a few days since it's started, but we'd like to officially announce that Relic Abyss is currently joining Next Fest! The reason why we're late is because we've been really busy making a new demo for you all to try out! Without further ado:[/p][p][/p][h2]Relic Abyss has evolved again! A new demo is now playable![/h2][p][/p][p]During our demo release, one of the most recurring feedback we had was that the game is too slow, 30 minute runs feel like a slog, the stats system kept stopping players from having fun, runs feel the same. We just want you all to know that we hear you and we have focused on fixing all of those problems with the new demo![/p][p][/p][h2]A new way to play! Random Rarity perks and Advancements![/h2][carousel][/carousel][p]We have decided to remove the Stats placement system to a more sleek Perks + Advancement systems. Perks are the usual stuff but improved! Pick from a randomized pool of Relics and Skills.[/p][p][/p][p]Advancements are a new thing! This is what will help you scale your character infinitely! Perk and advancements are randomly picked per run each advancement brings a new unique twist to the game! [/p][p]From Advancements that flip your magic and physical damages to ones that turn your pick up range into a damaging AoE. We have added over 55 unique advancements to choose from! It's up to you to mix and match or find combos to your hearts content.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's a totally normal looking run with the new demo![/p][h2]Runs are now 20 minutes long![/h2][p][/p][p]Based on multiple feedbacks, 30 minutes is a huge time sink to some players. And dying mid-run on minute 25 and you have to go through all of the level again is so un fun. That's why we're making the runs into a smaller but chunky sized experience.[/p][p]Yes, the game is now harder. But runs now feel more satisfying. We have rebalanced everything to make the action non-stop as it should be since you're trying to survive the Abyss![/p][p][/p][p]The Exp curve has also now been fixed to have a more satisfying curve overall.[/p][p][/p][p]The UI flow for the gameplay levels is now faster. Opening chests can now be done in 3 quick button presses! And other quality of life changes like the highly requested Auto-aim feature![/p][h2]More useful equipment![/h2][p][/p][p]Equipment now drop with random attributes based off it's rarity. And we have now removed class specific requirements for equipment! So you can now equip any equipment to anyone regardless of class! Enchantment and Smithing bonuses are present on top of those![/p][h2]New Shrines: Shrine of Advancement and Challenge![/h2][p][/p][h2]Brazilian Localization: Now Available![/h2][p][/p][h2]You can read the patch notes here:[/h2][p]Removed: Stats System[/p][p]Implemented Advancement System and Random Perk Rarities[/p][p]Implemented over 55 unique advancements[/p][p]Added Auto Attack Feature[/p][p]Runs are now 20 mins long[/p][p]Adjusted difficulty for run changes[/p][p]Implemented new Shrine: Shrine of Advancement[/p][p]Implemented new Shrine: Challenge Shrine[/p][p]Added new Localization: Brazilian[/p][p]Magnetize speed doubled[/p][p]Exp Crystals can now be picked up no matter what state[/p][p]Charging enemies can now be hit even when charging[/p][p]Added ultimate ready indicator[/p][p]Fixed: Can auto select a perk before the perks appear on screen.[/p][p]Reworked Character Select to display Advancements.[/p][p]Reworked Stats and Relics UI to display relic details.[/p][p]Buffed Mildred and all Magic Relics[/p][p]Changed Moon Ornament to target enemies instead of random on map.[/p][p]Increased Dialogue Speed[/p][p]Removed Initial Chest Opening animations[/p][p]Made Chest Opening skip to any button[/p][p]Removed Class Requirements for Equipment[/p][p]Looted equipment now have random bonus stats based on rarity.[/p][p]Fixed: Magic Damage on Attributes appearing as 0 when equipping staff[/p][p]Fixed EXP curve so that levelling is stable throughout the whole run.[/p][p][/p][h2]On to our Early Access Release![/h2][p]Overall, we are extremely happy with the new changes. It has made the game super fun to play.
