New Relic: Spiral Key + Some good news about the game. - Relic Abyss v0.4.23

[p]Heya gang! Long time no see! Just want to talk about what has happened since our last update. Why I stopped updating for a while, what changed in the game, and what's in store for the future.[/p][p][/p][h2]New Build:[/h2][p]Starting last week, I've been finally back improving the game and adding more stuff to the demo. Below are the new changes that has come with the new build version 0.4.23![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Change Log:[/p]
  • [p]Implemented new Physical Relic: Spiral Key[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Attack Speed / Cooldown able to go above the maximum attackspeed.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed perk item highlight not aligned properly.[/p]
  • [p]Added new SFX to Bladefall Relic[/p]
  • [p]Fixed hovering on perks scrollbar can hover side buttons.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Event Notifier still popping up after buying items on shop.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed dropping an item will 100% black screen on swapping characters.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed spamming pause on after selecting level can cause a soft lock.[/p]
  • [p]Added hotkey to confirm on Results Screen, Character Select, and Level Select.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Stats Screen Rework:[/p][p][/p]
    • [p]Luck now affects loot quality and have a chance to spawn another perk.[/p]
    • [p]Added toggle to stop the stats screen from popping up every level.[/p]
    • [p]Reworked Auto Stats feature:[/p]
    • [p]Clicking auto now brings up stat toggles that distributes your points automatically based on your choices.[/p]
    • [p]If open on level is off and auto is on, stats will automatically assign upon levelling up.[/p]
[p][/p][h2]Why I stopped updating for a while...[/h2][p]Sorry for not posting for a while. As I've told on a previous announcement before we we're dropped by the publisher we've been working with since 2024. And because of this, we really didn't had any funding since April 2025. So in our last ditch effort, we've decided to just release the demo and see where it would take us.[/p][p][/p][p]Thankfully, the demo release was a success, thanks to everyone who played our game! I'll be making another announcement post regarding the demo results in the future. But for now, thanks again everyone for playing our game![/p][p][/p][p]Around the 2nd week of June, we were out of funds. So we had to pause development for a bit and we went back seeking funding for the game. I emailed a lot of publishers, I applied for jobs, I talked to investors.[/p][p][/p][h2]Some good news![/h2][p]It was a pretty long process, but after 2 more weeks of talking to them, we've finally found someone who was interested in funding our game![/p][p][/p][p]I can't say any details for now, but starting this week, we finally have our game funded! And we can say with full confidence that we are now able to finish our game 100%! [/p][p][/p][p]Will talk about it more in the future but for now this is all I can say![/p][p][/p][h2]Coming soon:[/h2][p]We have also planning on some more future stuff planned coming soon. Like Localizations for different languages.[/p][p][/p][p]These languages are currently in the works and will be implented as soon as they're finished:[/p]

Infinite Perk Exploit Fix + Other stuff - Relic Abyss v0.4.18

[p]Heya! Here's the last update for the week! Idle Cub played our game again and have encountered an exploit that let him infinitely gain perks. I fixed it and touched up on some more stuff.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Changelog:[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Exploit: Very rarely, can trigger an infinite perk bug when you pickup a relic on the ground and levelling up at the same time.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed Cuprum Ores x5 when picked up are only x1[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Dialogue Box can become semi transparent if interacted really fast[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Perks Screen pops-up when other UI elements are present[/p]
  • [p]Fixed: Time still sometimes move when the System Menu is up during gameplay and when you open other UI menus[/p]
  • [p]Spacebar can now be used choose options on dialogue[/p]
  • [p]Spacebar can also be used to Accept UI elements[/p]
  • [p]Spacebar is now used to confirm stats[/p]
  • [p]Moved Witch cutscene after Merchant Cutscene[/p]
  • [p]Changed elapsed time to use unscaled time (Which is the reason why Rowan's appearance gets delayed)[/p]

New Relic: Bladefall + more fixes & QoL - Relic Abyss v0.4.17

[p]Hello again! Here's another update for this week! We're finally getting a new physical relic called "Bladefall"! I've also included some fixes and quality of life stuff.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Changelog:[/p]

  • [p]Fixed clicking select/back after selecting a character can lock you in a black screen[/p]
  • [p]Removed after character swap extra wait time[/p]

  • [p]Dash on HUB now on a lower cooldown[/p]

Gold Fix + Hitboxes and other things - Relic Abyss Demo v0.4.16

Hello! I've fixed a couple of bugs that have spawned from the previous build. Mainly the gold stuff. But don't worry, it's just a HUD issue so no progress is lost. And I also did some other quality of life improvements too. Check them out!

Changelog:
  • Fixed HUD gold value not displaying
  • Fixed All gold alignments not updating
  • Enlarged Level Select scrollbars
  • Fixed able to purchase 0 "empty items" at shop
  • Fixed difficulty text from glitching out when changing difficulty on the same level
  • Removed exploit: Able to sell negative items to gain gold.
  • Increased shop sold cards to 3.
  • Damage numbers spawn on enemies for AoE skills
  • Buffed Pyotyr's Consecrated Earth damage scaling
  • Removed Randomness on Warrior's Slash Attack
  • Buffed duration of Warrior Battle Shout
  • Adjusted player and enemy hitboxes
  • You can now dash on the HUB

We're moving the big update on Friday or Saturday because the powerplant in our city has been busted and our power has been on and off for the past 3 days now. Will surely let you know once the Major update is playable!
