Chef’s Diary. Part 2

Hey, it’s me again!

Today I cooked my first dishes. It wasn’t that hard — at least, for now. Just some easy and quick salads.

So, how exactly does it go? First I take the order, and since I have no idea what the exact recipe is, I ask the customer to write the ingredients on a note. Not something you’d be asked in a regular restaurant, so I tell people that it is required so we can make their dishes exactly how they want them (can’t believe it works). Then I just need to follow the recipe. Let’s take today’s salad for example. First I cut a cucumber, then peeled an onion, then cut it nicely, got everything on a plate, and gave the dish to the customer with a dressing of their choice!

Yep, that’s it. Well, first I need to buy the dressing and you don’t always get the one you need right away, but I’ll write about it next time.

That’s it for today from your Royal Chef!

Chef’s Diary. Part 1

Strangest things have happened… so I decided to record it all in this diary. But let’s start from the beginning.

Today promised to be a normal day. Morning and noon went as usual. And as usual, I went for my evening stroll in Camden Market. I was there lots of times and thought I knew all the stores there, but this evening I noticed an antique shop I’d never seen before. I, obviously, couldn’t pass it. So I went in, browsed some rarities and was about to leave when my eyes fell on a strange book. With no second thought, I opened it… and it burst into flames!

In its place appeared a cat who accused me of destroying the book. Yes. The cat was talking. But stranger things were about to happen. Not listening to my more than reasonable arguments, the cat disappeared. And the shop disappeared. I was standing in some strange kitchen and a strange woman was looking at me angrily. The cat again put the blame on me for destroying the book — a family treasure for this woman, apparently, though I’d say one should not keep their treasures in antique shops. Furious, the Duchess (that’s what the cat called the woman) was about to order her people to execute us, but the cat’s sweet words made her change her mind. Now I (don’t listen to what the cat says, I don’t believe it’s going to work at all) have to become a Royal Chef and ensure an upcoming grand feast will go well.

That’s it for today from your Royal Chef!

Greetings!

Today we present you Abra-Cooking-Dabra — a cozy craft & cooking card game with puzzle and management elements. Unleash your culinary talents!

Imagine finding yourself in a wonderland… But in the company of an obnoxious talking cat. Threatened to be executed for destroying (totally by accident!) an old recipe book — an essential artifact for the upcoming Royal feast. Now you have no other option but to cook and restore the lost recipes of eldritch British cuisine, serving food to various guests and bosses who play various tricks to mess with you.

The cooking process in the game is simple. Get an order, get ingredients, and try to cook the dish ordered. Should be easy peasy. Or not. Build and manage your cooking deck of cards, upgrade utensils, farm fresh ingredients and manage your cooking nicely to please picky guests. Every guest gives a hint of what ingredients to use in the dish they ordered, but figure out how to cook them yourself - and dishes get more complicated as you progress through levels.
