Behind the Scenes: Adapting UFL for PC Players

Bringing UFL to PC is far more than a simple port from consoles. It’s a full-scale adaptation process involving new discoveries and a firm commitment to delivering a high-quality experience for all our players.

When we set out to develop the PC version, we faced multiple challenges right from the start: optimising the game for a wide range of hardware setups, adapting the control schemes, and ensuring that every player could enjoy a smooth and comfortable experience, no matter how they choose to play.

Insights gathered following our closed beta test revealed that around 85% of PC players prefer to play UFL with a gamepad. Still, we made a key decision to introduce full keyboard and mouse support.

We want everyone to find a play style that suits them best, so we’ve put significant effort into ensuring UFL feels responsive, fair, and comfortable across both control types.

We’d also like to highlight that the PC version features a built-in anti-cheat system. We firmly believe that honest competition is the foundation of a true football simulator.
