Blizzard’s Twisted “Vases of Hatred” Lets Diablo IV Fans Deliver Dark Gifts

The new Diablo IV expansion, Vessel of Hatred, has just launched, and on Tuesday, Blizzard announced a new “Vases of Hatred” campaign for fans looking to spread the hatred with others.

Bringing the hatred to the world through an immersive double event, Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred allows fans to embrace their hate by delivering real-life flowers to those in need of a holiday pick-me-up. Starting today, complimentary and limited quantities of flowers can be sent to friends, enemies, or anyone in between (especially those who call players “bruh”) in New York City and Los Angeles while supplies last. For fans outside these cities, they can still send their frenemies a digital card and bouquet while also receiving an in-game reward. The trailer supporting the event is available below, and the live event coincides with an in-game event.

Diablo 4: Vessel Of Hatred review: mildly pleasant clicking in very pretty jungles

Write travel journalism to imaginary places, my spaghetti once spelled out. Do package holidays count? In Nahantu’s jungles, I linger to take shots of vines spilling from verdigris-kissed cages, of footfall-slicked stone paths and mesoamerican mosaics. Even Vessel Of Hatred’s malignancy feels like a grimly gorgeous tourist trap. Trip Advisor-recommended cyclopean polyps. TikTok viral demonic cysts. I’ve even got a leopard cub to pose with. He’s not sedated, promise. He’s just like that. I told him how much the ultimate edition costs and he’s been catatonic ever since.

I’d like to stick around, but I keep getting ushered along to the next leg of the tour. There are mobs to pop into goo like ripe spots, each fight as slick and frictionless as a pygmy hippo in a butter bath. There are a dozen different tiered resources and event types designed to make repetition feel like progress, until hell freezes over then melts again. It’s fine, Blizzard packed me some wellies. It’s all so comfortable I suspect they’d have thrown in some Xanax and a back rub if they could.

Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred (Xbox Series X) Review

I’ve been eagerly awaiting more stories from the world of Diablo IV since the credits rolled, and the new expansion, Vessel of Hatred, is finally here—and it’s packed with content. Blizzard has really outdone themselves with this expansion, delivering a significant amount of content that not only expands the world of Sanctuary but also introduces exciting new gameplay mechanics that breathe fresh life into the demon-slaying action we’ve come to love.

For anyone who has played through the main story of Diablo IV, it ends on a bit of a cliffhanger. Neyrelle takes the soul stone containing Mephisto and embarks on a pilgrimage to finally put an end to the Lord of Hatred. However, as we’ve seen in the past, things rarely go according to plan. As she travels the lands of Sanctuary, she leaves a wake of destruction caused by the evil and corruption constantly seeping from Mephisto’s trapped soul. She’s also tormented by the Lord of Hell as she attempts to complete her... Read more
