From the very start of the demo’s release, through Steam Next Fest, and beyond, your feedback has been invaluable in shaping HELLBREAK. We’ve seen thousands of players jump into the arena, and every bit of input has helped us refine our vision for the game. Thank you for playing, sharing your thoughts, and supporting us on this journey!
With that in mind, we want to let you know that the demo will be taken down this Friday as we shift our focus to some major improvements. We’re making big changes to core systems, including blessings, progression, and more. This rework will take time, but we are committed to delivering the best possible experience when HELLBREAK returns.
Here’s a sneak peek at some of the big changes coming:
To ensure we deliver all these changes and more at the early access launch, we have postponed the EA release date to Q2 2025. Our aim is to release before summer, giving us the time needed to make HELLBREAK the best it can be.

- Acquire any weapon and spell during a trial through blessings
- Upgrade weapons with unique modifiers and stat bonuses mid-trial
- Equip multiple spells at the same time for more diverse combat options
- Revamped main progression to ensure each trial feels rewarding
- Layered difficulty system—lowered default difficulty with new challenge tiers that offer unique rewards and progression
- More interactive blessings to enhance the feeling of power as trials progress
- Complete Melee Revamp—expect overhauled mechanics, new melee weapons, and deeper combat interactions
- More enemies and bosses to make each trial more intense and dynamic
- New arenas to bring fresh battlefields and challenges
- TONS MORE GUNS AND SPELLS to expand your arsenal
