Worlds 10 years anniversary!
[p]
[/p][p]Ten years ago, I was releasing my first commercial game: Worlds.[/p][p][/p][p]A crazy project, started as a teen with barely enough knowledge to conduct it.[/p][p]After 7 long years of development, Worlds became a game which blends action, adventure and infiltration in a dreamlike and mysterious atmosphere (with a tint of irony and dark humor!).[/p][p]It then found its audience, and I'm still honored today to receive messages and comments from players who loved its strange worlds.[/p][p][/p][p]So to celebrate this 10 years anniversary, I've decided to share the source code of Worlds! It's now available under the GPL v3.0 license.[/p][p][/p][p]Download Worlds source code (673 ko)[/p][p][/p][p]This source code is honestly pretty messy; a lot of things are done in weird ways and taped together as a whole, but it works. Approach it as the first serious (and huge) project of a 19 years old rookie.[/p][p]Making Worlds open source opens the gate to a lot of possibilities - gameplay mods, additional content, graphical improvements, ports, translations... (or maybe nothing at all!)[/p][p]I don't know how many people will tinker with this, but I hope you'll have fun if you do. And don't hesitate to share your work with me.[/p][p][/p][p]Happy 10th birthday to Worlds, and thank you all again for playing it and supporting me throughout the years![/p][p][/p][p]
Yeah, my camera was pretty bad in 2011...[/p]
