Hungry Horrors Joins Myths & Legends Fest + Playtests Incoming!

📜 Hungry Horrors Joins the Myths & Legends Fest! 🏰

The myths are alive, and the monsters are hungry! Hungry Horrors is officially part of the Myths & Legends Fest, celebrating legendary creatures and folklore-inspired games. But beware—not all monsters enjoy what’s on the menu…

🐉 Knucker – A water dragon said to lurk in wells, demanding tribute from the locals. Will your dish satisfy its endless hunger?
👹 Black Annis – A child-snatching hag with iron claws and a taste for flesh. She’s hard to please—feed her wisely!
👺 Redcap – A bloodthirsty goblin who stains his hat with his victims’ blood. If he dislikes his meal, you might be next…

But that’s not all—we have playtests on the horizon! Want to test your wits against these legendary horrors before anyone else? Join our Discord to be among the first to get a taste of the action.

🃏 Play, feed, and survive (if you can).

Hungry Horrors Dev Update #1: Monsters, Myths, and Meals!

Hey everyone! 🎉 Welcome to Hungry Horrors’ very first update! 👋 We’re so excited to share what we’ve been working on and give you a glimpse into what’s next for the game.
So… What Is Hungry Horrors?
Hungry Horrors is our debut game—an indie roguelite deck-building adventure where you take on the role of a princess who must cook traditional dishes like Cranachan, Stargazy Pie, and Boxty to please mythical monsters. Each monster has a specific taste, and your goal is to serve the right dish to keep them happy… or at least full!🍳

You’ll meet creatures like Jenny Greenteeth from England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿, Dullahan from Ireland 🇮🇪, Baobhan Sith from Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿, and Afanc from Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿. Each monster has its own preferences and quirks. It’s a game where folklore, strategy, and a dash of humour come together in a roguelite deck-building package.
Who Are We?
We’re Clumsy Bear Studio, a small indie game development team based in London. Our team consists of two passionate creators: Scott, who handles all the programming and art, and Jerzy, who focuses on game design, marketing, and making sure everything runs smoothly.

Hungry Horrors is our first big project, and we’ve poured a lot into making this game unique, fun, and rooted in the rich folklore of the British and Irish Isles. 📖
