How MetaHuman and Unreal Engine 5 Are Powering NORSE: Oath of Blood

Greetings, warriors!
We are thrilled to share a glimpse into the development of NORSE: Oath of Blood, and how Unreal Engine 5’s cutting-edge technology, especially MetaHuman, is helping us bring our world to life.
Our goal from the very beginning was authenticity. Thanks to MetaHuman, we have been able to create deeply detailed and expressive characters. Every facial movement, every small gesture, tells part of the story we are trying to share.
Unreal Engine 5 has opened incredible possibilities for us. With Nanite, we are able to create richly detailed environments. Lumen allows us to achieve dynamic, realistic lighting that reacts naturally to the world. And MetaHuman lets us craft believable characters who truly connect with players. These tools have given our small team the ability to achieve visuals and storytelling quality that would have been impossible just a few years ago.

The team at Arctic Hazard are also grateful to have received an Epic MegaGrant, which has helped push NORSE: Oath of Blood even further than we first imagined. Working with Unreal’s latest and greatest tools has not just accelerated development; it has elevated the entire creative process for us.
