【Note】What should I do if “DevilConnection” isn't working properly?
We sincerely appreciate your continued patronage of "DevilConnection".
We have received multiple reports of issues such as “the game not launching” or “launching but freezing before the title screen appears.”
Before purchasing, we kindly ask that you verify the following points as much as possible.
Please note that our development team, including debugging efforts, has tested the game extensively. However, we have been unable to reproduce the issues where the game fails to launch or does not progress past the title screen.
We will investigate these issues to the best of our ability, but please understand that there are limitations inherent to being an independent developer.

[h3]First, please confirm[/h3]
If you encounter the following error, please verify that the Visual C++ 2015-2022 Redistributable is installed.
Additionally, multiple reports indicate that on Windows systems, the application launches but then freezes with “Loading tyranoscript” displayed in the title bar. In this case, please try the following steps:
*** As an alternative to “--use-angle=d3d12”, we would appreciate it if you could also try “--use-angle=d3d11on12”. ***

We kindly recommend that you first verify the software's functionality using the trial version.
Once you have confirmed it works with the trial version, please proceed with your purchase.
When reporting an issue, please use the Bug Report Board and include the following information in your report.

If you have already purchased the game on Steam, you can request a refund within 2 hours.
[h2]If you were able to play it before but suddenly can't play it...[/h2]
In some cases, the game may become unplayable due to issues like PC freezes, even if it previously launched successfully.
In such instances, it is highly likely that your save data has become corrupted.
We apologize for the inconvenience, but please follow the steps below to reset your save data and attempt launching the game again.
(Please note that restoring corrupted save data is generally not possible. We appreciate your understanding.)
1. Select “DevilConnection” from your Steam library, then choose [Manage] -> [Browse Local Files]

2. Open the “_storage” folder and delete all files except “steam_autocloud.vdf”.

- Press [Windows] + [R] on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box
- Type “dxdiag” to open the DirectX Diagnostic Tool (select ‘No’ for all dialogs starting with “The last time this program was used...”)
- Check the “DirectX Version” in the “System Information” section (the number part)
- Right-click “Devil Connection” in your Steam library and select “Properties”.
- Enter “--use-angle=d3d{the number you confirmed in step 3}” in the “Launch Options” field (For DirectX 12, use “--use-angle=d3d12”).
- Restart the game.
