What's coming next? A sneak peek on Custom Mode Update
Hey there, Survivalists!

[p]Today, we wanted to take a moment to talk about the next update coming to Frost Survival VR and give you a clearer look at what we’ve been working on behind the scenes. That said, let’s cut to the chase. The spoken update focuses on three main goals:[/p]
 • [p]giving players more control over the world around them and their playstyle,[/p]
 • [p]adding more atmosphere to the world, [/p]
 • [p]and improving overall quality of life.[/p]
[p]While this isn’t a massive overhaul, it’s an important step forward that makes the game more flexible, immersive, and more comfortable to play. These changes also improve replayability, giving you new ways to experience a fresh adventure.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p]
The new way to start your adventure - Custom Mode

[p]This is the biggest gameplay-related addition in the update. Based on your suggestions, requests and ideas, we’re introducing Custom Mode - a new way to play the game that lets you adjust, change or even completely disable many of the core mechanics.[/p][p]Perhaps you might have thought to yourself, "I like Frost Survival VR, but the temperature drops too quickly for my taste" or "I'd rather explore than worry about my character’s sanity." Well, now that won’t be a case, because you’ll be able to tweak things like:[/p]
 • [p]Temperature and sanity systems[/p]
 • [p]How quickly player needs deplete[/p]
 • [p]Friendly fire[/p]
 • [p]Fire fuel consumption rate[/p]
 • [p]And more survival-related settings[/p]
[p]The goal is to give you control over the experience. You can push the game toward a hardcore survival challenge or dial things back for a more relaxed, sandbox-style playthrough. Custom Mode is our way of supporting different playstyles without losing the core survival feel.[/p][p][/p][p]Custom Mode allowing you to adjust the gameplay to your needs[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
New Structure: Trash Can

[p]While this one is a smaller feature, we think it will make base management feel better. We’re adding a new Trash Can structure that lets you get rid of unwanted items.[/p][p]If you’ve ever ended up with piles of useless or outdated gear cluttering your base, this should help. No more excess skins, damaged tools or other annoying stuff lying around![/p][p][/p]
More Save Slots

[p]We’re increasing the number of save slots from 3 to 6.[/p][p]This gives you more room to experiment with different runs, difficulties, and Custom Mode setups without having to delete old progress. Whether you like to keep backups, test new ideas, or run multiple playthroughs in parallel, this should make things a lot more convenient.[/p][p][/p][p]Get rid of unwanted items with the Trash Can[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
A New Night Type: Northern Lights

[p]One of the most visible additions is a new night variant featuring northern lights. It adds more visual variety to nighttime while staying true to the game’s cold, harsh atmosphere. The new night type changes the mood of exploration after dark and helps the world feel less repetitive over longer play sessions.[/p][p][/p]
Bug Fixes and Overall Polish

[p]Alongside the new features, we’ve also fixed a number of minor bugs and small issues. These aren’t flashy changes, but they’re important for overall stability and smoothness. Our goal is to keep chipping away at rough edges and make the experience more solid and reliable with each update. Thanks to the Patch, longer runs and worlds filled with awesome bases and items should run much more smoothly.[/p][p][/p][p]Gorgoeus Aurora on the night sky[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]The Custom Mode update is coming really soon, so stay tuned! As always, thank you for playing Frost Survival VR and for all the feedback you’ve been sending in. It genuinely helps guide what we prioritize and how the game continues to evolve.[/p][p][/p]
Hang in there, Survivalists!
[p][/p]

Small Patch: Changes in fire-related structures

[p]Hello Survivors!❄️[/p][p]After the latest update, we’ve received some feedback that the fire goes out - and it does quite quickly. The initial design was indeed that the fire should eventually go out, but we know many players had gotten used to the earlier version.
We always listen to your feedback, so we’ve decided to make it easier. That's why we prepared a small patch for you:

Changes in fire-related structures🔥
🔹Slightly increased amount of fuel that items add to the campfire.
🔹Highly increased amount of fuel that Flax, Wooden stick add to decorations' fire, also now you can refill fuel using coal (that adds 100 minutes of burning to decorations). Because fire in decorations is smaller, it is more efficient than in a fireplace.
🔹Added better indication when fire is close to being extinguished - when there is < 15% fuel, fire will be smaller and with a different color
🔹Chandelier, Wall Torch, Standing Fire: Burn time changed from 50 minutes to 100 minutes
🔹Lantern, Street Lantern: Burn time changed from 50 minutes to 130 minutes
🔹Advanced Campfire: Burn time changed from 40 minutes to 50 minutes; burn time after building changed from 20 minutes to 30 minutes
🔹Simple Campfire: Burn time changed from 30 minutes to 35 minutes; burn time after building changed from 15 minutes to 20 minutes
🔹Fireplace: Burn time changed from 70 minutes to 80 minutes; burn time after building changed from 35 minutes to 45 minutes
🔹Furnace: Burn time after building changed from 25 minutes to 35 minutes
[/p][p] Other🛠️
🔹Changed icons of animal skins to easier to identify which animal it is
🔹 Fixed problem with detection of added clay to items on pottery station
🔹 Fixed strange Area 3 with disappearing trees and terrain
🔹 Fixed player dialogues about gathering resin[/p][p]
