Celebrate the Season of the Dragon year-long adventure during the Dawn of the Dragonguard event and unlock bonus rewards including double drops, Event Tickets, and more!


The Dawn of the Dragonguard event begins on Tuesday, November 26 at 10:00AM EST, and runs until Monday, December 9 at 10:00AM EST. During the event period, earn bonus rewards by taking on Dragons and bosses found within this year’s Season of the Dragon content.

To participate in this new event, pick up the Dawn of the Dragonguard quest from the in-game Crown Store. Note that to participate in this event, you must have access to some or all of this year’s Season of the Dragon content, including the Wrathstone DLC, Elsweyr Chapter, Scalebreaker DLC, or Dragonhold DLC.


Should you take part in this event, you can earn double drops for the following activities:

• Defeating a zone Dragon in either Southern or Northern Elsweyr
• Defeating a boss in Wrathstone dungeons, Scalebreaker dungeons, or the Sunspire trial
• Harvesting resource nodes in Northern and Southern Elsweyr

Play the year’s adventures to earn double drops!

Double drops for these activities includes rewards such as gold, items, and gear sets. If you’ve yet to complete a dungeon or trial set, now is your chance!


During the Dawn of the Dragonguard event, you can earn up to two Event Tickets per day by completing the following tasks:

• Defeat a zone Dragon in Northern Elsweyr or the last Dragon boss in Sunspire trial
• Defeat a zone Dragon in Southern Elsweyr or complete any dungeon from either the Wrathstone or Scalebreaker DLCs

The tasks above grant you one ticket per day each, so to get the maximum amount you need to complete both!

Throughout the event, the Impresario returns with a unique selection of goods, including:

• New Pure-Snow Berries of Growth
• Pure-Snow Berries of Bloom and Budding
• All four Indrik Feathers (for summoning a Nascent Indrik)
• New Jade-Crown Dragonslayer Helm outfit style
• New Jade-Crown Dragonslayer Shoulder outfit style
• Sai Sahan outfit style pages

Shortly after the launch of Undaunted Event, we began to see server issues related to the Activity Finder that was affecting your ability to play the game. Our top priority is making sure you can log in and play, so to that end, we have decided to turn off the Undaunted Event. Who knows no fear of beast or blade? The Undaunted Celebration event is back! Clear dungeons to earn bonus rewards and Event Tickets. We are Undaunted!


Kicking off this Thursday, November 14 at 10:00AM EST, and running until Monday, November 18 at 10:00AM EST, the Undaunted Celebration event returns, bringing new rewards for Tamriel’s brave dungeon delvers.

To participate in this event, take on Tamriel’s four-player dungeons by using the Dungeon Finder tool or by traveling to a dungeon with your group. Normal or Veteran difficulty, it’s up to you!


When you defeat a dungeon’s final boss during the Undaunted Celebration, it’ll drop a special Undaunted Reward Box in addition to its usual loot. In these containers, you can discover all kinds of useful and valuable items, such as Undaunted Keys, Undaunted plunder, motif pages, repair kits, transmute crystals, riding lessons, and more.

However, that’s not all! During this event only, you also have the chance to acquire special “Opal” versions of the classic Monster Weapon, Mask, and Shoulder styles for the following bosses:

• Bloodspawn
• Illambris
• Engine Guardian
• Troll King

Here’s how you can earn these shiny new style pages:

Opal Monster Weapon Outfit Style

The first time you slay a dungeon’s final boss each day, you’ll earn a special Hefty Undaunted Reward box. These larger containers house the same items as their smaller cousins, but they also contain a random page of the new Opal Monster Weapon Outfit style pages. Note that Opal Monster Weapon Outfit style pages can drop from regular Undaunted Reward Boxes on very rare occasions, but the only way to get one guaranteed is from a Hefty box.

If you’re interested in the Masks, the Opal Monster Mask styles can drop from Veteran Hard Mode final bosses within Spindleclutch II (Bloodspawn), Crypt of Hearts I (Illambris), Darkshade Caverns II (Engine Guardian), and Blessed Crucible (Troll King). If you’re interested only in the regular version of the Masks, they will still drop on Veteran difficulty, too.

Opal Monster Shoulder Outfit Style

Finally, the Opal Shoulder Outfit Style pages for the above monsters will be available from Undaunted vendors during the event, too. Note that you must own the normal versions (also available from the same vendors) of the Shoulders first before you can acquire the Opal ones.

When participating in the Undaunted Celebration, you can earn three Event Tickets the first time you slay any final boss in any dungeon each day. Throughout the event, the Impresario will return and stock both the Snow Berries of Bloom (introduced during the Witches Festival) AND the new Snow Berries of Budding. Here’s the complete list of goods available at the Impresario:

• Pure-Snow Berries of Bloom
• New Pure-Snow Berries of Budding
• All four Indrik Feathers (for summoning a Nascent Indrik)
• New Opal Monster Outfit Styles (including Weapons, Masks, and Shoulders)

Should you acquire the first two Snow Berries and the next two from the other upcoming Q4 events, you’ll be able to summon the majestic Pure-Snow Indrik!

The Free Play Event is happening now until Wednesday, November 13 at 10:00AM EST. During the free play period, you can download and play the ESO base game for all platforms (PC/Mac, Steam, PlayStation®4, and Xbox One) free, no purchase needed.

Boo! Battle Tamriel’s monsters, get double XP, and earn creepy new rewards during the Witches Festival in-game event! Learn everything you need to know about the frightening fete here.


Tamriel’s Witches Festival returns from Thursday, October 24 at 10:00AM EDT, and runs until Monday, November 4 at 10:00AM EST. During this chilling celebration, you can enjoy a 100% XP boost, receive creepy collectibles, and acquire Event Tickets!

To take part in this scary soiree:

• Navigate to the Holiday section of the Crown Store and acquire the free quest.
• Complete the quest “The Witchmother's Bargain" to receive the Witchmother's Whistle memento.

• If you completed the quest in previous events, you don’t need to acquire the Crow Caller or complete the quest again, and you can use the whistle already found in your Collections menu.

Use the whistle to summon the “Witchmother's Cauldron," which grants you and your party a two-hour 100% XP buff that stacks with all other XP bonuses.Use the Witchmother's Cauldron to transform your character into one of the undead. Spoopy!

• Note that you do not have to use the Witchmother's Cauldron to gain the XP buff, just the whistle. The Cauldron cannot be summoned in Cyrodiil.

During this freaky festival, you can earn some frightful Witches Festival-themed items, collectibles, and more, simply by defeating boss monsters and looting Plunder Skulls.

When you tear open a Plunder Skull, you have a chance to snatch up some of these items:

• NEW pieces of the Skeleton Marionette memento
  • Combine all 10 pieces to craft this collectible
• Hollowjack Motif pages or books
• Pieces of the Apple-Bobbing Cauldron memento
  • Combine all seven pieces to craft this collectible
• A Runebox containing a Witches Festival-themed mask
  • Collect all four!
• Witches Festival-themed recipes, including furniture and furniture recipes
• Bewitching Alchemy reagents and style materials
• …and an assortment of creepy and items!

In addition to this, the first time you defeat each different type of boss each day (detailed below) you’ll receive a Dremora Plunder Skull. This special reward contains the same kind of items in the regular Skulls, but also features a Dremora Motif style page. However, that’s not all! Explore Southern Elsweyr
Decades ago, the once-proud region of Pellitine was devastated by a terrible plague and fire. Those that remain struggle to survive in a world reduced to ruin and beset by bandits, slavers, and worse. Only in the southern capital of Senchal does a small bastion of defenders hold firm against the chaos. However, a rage of Dragons invades from the north, and Southern Elsweyr once again stands on the precipice.

Discover Pellitine’s ancient history

In the Dragonhold DLC, you can explore this new zone, uncover its history, and confront its many tormentors. Similar in size to previous DLC story zones, such as Clockwork City or Murkmire, you’ll discover tons of unique quests, bosses, delves and more, and journey through a scarred-but-vibrant world full of adventure.

Join Sai Sahan & Restore the Dragonguard
In the Dragonhold main story questline, you can join Sai Sahan as he reforges the ancient order of Dragon hunters known as the Dragonguard. Only if you work together to uncover the secrets of this long-lost organization do you have a chance at stopping an all-new Dragon from once again dominating Pellitine. During your adventures with Sai and his allies, you receive rewards, including new and unique collectibles. You also gradually unlock improvements and additions to the Dragonguard’s base of operations.

Conclude the Season of the Dragon
Should you complete both the Dragonhold DLC and Elsweyr Chapter main story, you unlock a series of bonus Season of the Dragon quests that conclude the epic year-long story once and for all. The great Dragon Kaalgrontiid was not destroyed during the events of Elsweyr, only delayed.

You need all of your might and the help of your most-powerful allies to put a stop to the Dragon’s plans before he can change the face of Tamriel forever.

As you venture into Southern Elsweyr, complete quests, and face the Dragon menace, you earn powerful new gear (including three new zone sets and three crafted sets), complete new achievements, and gather unique collectibles including new pets, furnishings, outfit styles, and more. Pellitine’s hidden riches await!


The Dragonhold DLC game pack is free for all ESO Plus members and available for purchase for 2,000 crowns from the in-game Crown Store (listed under DLC).

Note that if your ESO Plus membership lapses, you will lose access to the DLC until you renew or purchase the DLC with crowns. You won’t lose any items or rewards you earned while you had access.

Dragonhold Collector’s Bundle
The Dragonhold Collector’s Bundle is also available for 4,000 crowns. This includes access to the DLC game pack, the Legendary Dragon Horse mount, the Legendary Dragon Wolf pet, and five Crown Experience Scrolls. You can find and purchase the Dragonhold Collector’s Bundle from the Featured section of the in-game Crown Store.

Once you have access to the Dragonhold DLC, you can begin your journey into Southern Elsweyr by the following methods:

• By teleporting directly to Senchal from your map
• By using the DLC tab of the Collections menu and accepting the "The Dragon’s Lair" quest from the Zone DLC section

Once you set foot in the new zone, you’ll be gifted with the free Topal Corsair Helmet collectible.

In addition to the DLC game pack, we’ve also launched the Update 24 base-game update. This update features a ton of performance upgrades for the base game that improves the experience for all ESO players.

Memory Management Overhaul
This change fundamentally alters memory use in ESO to reduce fragmentation. What does this mean? It means improved game stability, resulting in reduced instances of crashing or dashboarding. This change is most notable for those who play on base consoles (Update 24 is coming to Xbox One and PlayStation®4 on November 5), but all should see some improvements.

Behind-the-scenes Combat Ability Improvements (Part 1)
To lessen server load, the team has been working on rewriting some of the most consumptive combat abilities. While initially this change might not appear to have a huge impact, eventually these improvements will lessen the server load and improve performance during larger combat engagements. Back to Chalman Keep!

Complete Rewrite of the Looking for Group System
Finally, the team completely rebuilt the Looking for Group system from the ground up, improving the tool’s reliability and speed when queuing for Dungeons and Battlegrounds. This change helps ensure the Group Finder works effectively even when under heavy load.
