Important Notice for Demo/Prologue Players:

Dear Steam Players,

Due to the latest Meta update, Steam users may be on an outdated version of the game. As a result, while single-player mode should work fine, multiplayer mode may experience several issues, including:
- Incorrect weapon positions
- Monsters appearing in the multiplayer lobby
- Mismatched monster appearance and abilities in dungeons
To avoid these issues, we recommend playing single-player mode until the update is applied. We expect Steam to have the update ready by tomorrow afternoon, though it may take until tomorrow evening in some cases.

Thank you for your understanding and patience!

Pixel Dungeon's FAQ and Roadmap
FAQ
Here are some questions you may ask.
Q: How many maps will be there?
A: At the moment, there are 2 maps available is EA version. However, we are actively developing the 3rd map, which will be included in the official release, more maps are going on. But for the free demo, just this single map all the time. Stay tuned for more exciting updates!

Q: How can I play PCVR?
A: The version migration and technical adjustments require more time than anticipated. We are focusing on refining the current version's content and levels first. As a result, we may need to push back the original release plan and aim to complete the Steam version by the end of the year. We will update you with specific timelines as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience, and thank you for your understanding and support!

Q: What is ester egg?
A: Haha, you will find out in one room sometime! No more I can tell 🙂

Q: What is the difference between the Demo and EA versions?
A: Previously, our demo allowed players to experience a single-player mode on one map, along with weekend dungeon raid events that unlocked multiplayer mode on weekends. Now, multiplayer mode will be permanently available to demo players. However, there is a level cap of 10 for demo players, and they won’t be able to upgrade their weapons. (Note: For demo players who have already surpassed level 10, their level progression will be halted.)
Our Early Access (EA) version is continuously expanding. It currently includes two maps with unique bosses, and we are adding more monsters and skills with each update. EA players will have access to all content as it’s released, including multiplayer. When the game is fully released, EA players won’t need to pay any additional fees.

Q: Will my game progress in the Demo carry over to EA?
A: Yes, there is a data transfer system from Demo to EA. If you own both versions, the system will select the account with the higher value to unify across both versions. The data merging logic prioritizes: player level > experience points > gold amount.
For example, if you’re level 8 in the demo and just started in the EA version, the EA version will inherit the level 8 progress from the demo.
