Guidus Zero Developer Note

Hello, this is Guidus Zero.
First of all, we would like to thank each and every one of you for playing Guidus Zero and for the overwhelming support and love you’ve shown us.
Your feedback—shared through the Community Hub, reviews, Discord, and more—is being thoroughly read and discussed by every member of our team.
It’s a constant source of motivation and direction as we work together to shape the game. Please continue to share your honest thoughts freely. Your voices are a powerful force in helping us build a better, more complete Guidus Zero.

In this Developer Note, we’d like to share the current improvement roadmap for known issues and preview several upcoming updates that will be provided free of charge.
Let’s dive into the details.
1. Version Stability
Thanks to your reports, most of the major bugs that occurred periodically have now been fixed. Our QA and dev teams are still working closely to identify and resolve any remaining issues as quickly as possible.
We’ll continue doing our best to deliver a smoother and more stable experience with each build.
2. New Area Incoming
A brand-new area—along with new monsters and bosses—is on the way.
The combat content for the new area has already been completed and is currently going through scenario cutscene production and final QA before its release.
We’ll be sharing patch schedules and more updates through future Developer Notes.
3. New Artifacts & Event Rooms
We’re also working on new Artifacts and event rooms to bring more variety and depth to the gameplay.
Due to the concurrent development of the new area and stability patches, we won’t be able to release a large number of Artifact sets at once. However, we’re committed to gradually expanding this content over time.
4. Controls & UX
Controls have been the most talked-about topic since Guidus Zero launched—and also the part we’ve spent the most time testing and improving.
Since we are building an entirely new control system, numerous experiments and trial-and-error efforts were required. We’d like to sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this has caused along the way.
We know that the feel of controls can vary from player to player, even within the same system. Creating fun within an unfamiliar setup presented several hurdles, and we’re working through them step by step, thanks to all the thoughtful feedback you’ve provided.
Here’s a quick look at where we’re headed:
The current control system utilizes tile-based movement, with input buffering that connects movement to your following action. But many players told us that the difference in speed and rhythm between moving and attacking made the controls feel unresponsive or delayed.
Players accustomed to fighting games or similar input styles might have had an easier time adapting, but for most, it still felt somewhat off. That’s why we’re now aiming to make controls faster and more intuitive to reduce that awkwardness and improve the overall feel.
Of course, we know that some users are satisfied with the current system, so we’ll be approaching these adjustments with extra care to minimize disruptions to their experience.
5. The Ending
Lastly, many of you have shared your thoughts about the current ending, feeling that it is incomplete.
We’re preparing new content that will properly bring the story to a satisfying close. This content will be delivered as a free update, not paid DLC.

We’re pleased to address some of the most frequently asked questions in this note.
