【Developer Diary】Concept Design - Gladsheim
The abode of the Asa Gods, known as the "Divine Realm" among mortals. At the highest point stands the palace of Odin, the King of the Gods - Gladsheim. It is said that Odin gathered almost all the gold in the world to create this magnificent wonder, and when the temple was completed, it emitted a radiance surpassing that of the sun.
Located on a plateau in Asgard, closest to the World Tree, it serves as the royal residence of Odin, the King of the Gods. Legend has it that Odin collected nearly all the gold in the world to forge this glorious marvel. When the temple was completed, it emitted a radiance surpassing that of the sun. However, this structure, after being suddenly ravaged by the raging World Tree, now bears a dilapidated appearance akin to twilight.
The Gladsheim of today remains quiet and weary, resembling a state of death. Since successfully restraining the violent outburst of the World Tree, it seems that the King of the Gods has never set foot outside the palace.
