We've released the game
[p]Which was not easy, considering we're living in a war-torn country. And this is our first game with this core team.[/p][p]The release went well! The build with the last-minute fix has been compiled at 2am in the morning - which is considerably better than I'm used to :)[/p][p]And you see, for us making games is a hobby, not a business. We haven't set financial targets and we'll continue making games no matter what. So we just wanted that people like the game - and it seems to me that that's the case. [/p][p][/p][p]We already have some streamers and our positive review target for Day-1 is already achieved.[/p][p][/p][p]We're happy and appreciate your support! Thank you![/p][p][/p]

[p]Titans of the Past goes live on December 3rd, 2025. 10 days from now.[/p][p][/p]
State of the game
[p]This is a full release, not Early Access. [/p][p]All planned content that we feel is mandatory for the full release is there, and we're sure the game is in a pretty good shape.[/p][p]What we might be missing is some balance inconsistencies and rare hardware-specific stability issues. We've found all we could, but being a small indie team working part-time, we surely can't catch everything. Still, the release is not a beta-test. We believe the games provides the experience we wanted it to provide, and hope you will like it. [/p][p][/p][p]During last month, we cumulatively played the game for hundreds of hours, and tweaked the balance and UX quite extensively.[/p][p][/p][p]From our POV, the game provides quite a unique overall feel due to the inverted real-time-with-a-pause system; has enough depth and complexity; features well-paced progression; is difficult enough to be challenging; and has content for hundreds of hours (if you like the core gameplay).[/p][p][/p]
Future plans
[p]I'll be honest with you: future of the game depends on how it sells. We actually don't need money to continue working on this game, being a no-money indie team, a collective of enthusiasts. But the game's reception will show us how much interest there is. And this will influence our decisions. [/p][p][/p][p]In any case, we remain an active team that continue to make games.[/p][p]We have a new map in active development, and will most likely release it in early 2026. [/p][p]Also, we're in the conceptualization and pre-planning stage of a new game - a strategy roguelike with combat inspired by Dominions 6 / Conquest of Elysium 5.[/p][p]We will be starting production somewhere in 2026 but the amount of updates for ToP is to be decided based on the reception.[/p][p][/p][p]We're looking forward to see what you guys think about Titans of the Past. Release date is... uncertain (but in a good way!)

[p]Hey beautiful and handsome people,[/p][p]Alex 13 here.[/p][p][/p][p]We're on a final stretch - pushing Class Abilities hard. Then we'll need one (longer than usual) sprint to polish things up and do a thorough QA pass, and we'll be Gold-ready.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently expected dates of getting the Gold build are late November - early December. Which is good in a way that we'll finish the game soon. But December is a very bad month to release a niche indie game. So we'll weigh our options and make a decision once the game is in a release-ready state. It will not be later than Feb 2026, and likely not later than Jan 2026. [/p][p][/p][p]We don't need to make a living from this game's sales but still want to get some sales :) Just because we put parts of our souls into Titans of the Past. [/p][p][/p][p]Also, we've already started the conceptualization for our next game. Yes, whatever the sales, there will be another game from Devil's Dozen games - in the same universe as ToP.[/p][p][/p][p]Stay tuned guys![/p][p][/p][p]13, out[/p]

Development update #16

[p]Hey people,[/p][p]Alex 13 here.[/p][p][/p][p]We're alive and working - which is already an achievement for an Ukrainian team. russians continue killing us but we go through it.[/p][p][/p][p]We're full force working on Class Abilities. Steam Workshop support got some progress and is now closer to finish - but it's a cut candidate since we're aiming for release this year.[/p][p][/p][p]All 90 Magic School spells finally have proper descriptions - formulas, resulting values, and flavor texts, - and SFX.[/p][p][/p][p]New mobs are also polished and battle-ready. Development update #15

[p]Hey people,[/p][p][/p][p]Alex 13 here. [/p][p][/p][p]First of all, we're close to establishing the release date. Not yet there but we'll be able to make a proper announcement in about a month or so.[/p][p]We're aiming for the release this year and it will most likely be so.[/p][p][/p][p]The game is now feature complete, debugged quite well (thanks to the community feedback!), and works adequately performance-wise.[/p][p]We are shifting our focus on finishing the content part - enemies and class abilities (magic spells will be finalized within the next two weeks).[/p][p]Most mobs are technically done and are undergoing the balance pass.[/p][p][/p][p]So, we just need to make all the Class Abilities and fine-tune the balance + do a thorough QA pass on the whole game, and fix everything critical we find.
