Pre-Release Patch Notes 0.9.9.4

Some players have noted today that they didn't see a couple of important hints, so I've gone ahead and made those volumes a big bigger to make sure they display. Also adjusted & emphasized the hint history.

Changes Made
  • Adjusted some hint volume dimensions to make sure they trigger
  • Adjusted some hint prompts (mainly the one that tells players how to view their hint history)

Pre-Release Patch Notes 0.9.9.3

Just came in to make some small last minute adjustments based on player feedback that could make a big difference in the on-boarding process for the game's mechanics and improve the B-plot.

  • Adjusted Ascend tutorial to be more clear
  • Adjusted journal entries: fixed some mistakes and reworked some of them

Pre-Release Patch Notes 0.9.9.1

  • Reworded some hints early in the game for better guidance & clarity.
  • Hint trigger volumes now refresh after a short period, also for better clarity.


These changes to the hints were made because a few players got stuck in a particular area, should be better now.

Pre-release Patch Notes 0.9.9 - Steam Achievements and a Speedrun Timer!

Changes Made
  • Added Support for Steam Achievements.
  • Added an in-game timer that shows your run's final completion time at the end of the game. Press "Select" or "Tab" to view the timer while playing.


I've added some achievements to the game, and 75% of them are extra challenges for players to pursue on repeat playthroughs. (My personal favorite kind of achievement)

I never really intended for GULLET to be a speedrunner's game. However, after playing the game over and over during the game's development and seeing how much of a difference there was in completion time as well as how much unintentional movement tech there is in the game even now, I decided to add an in-game timer and an achievement tied to it. Hope you guys enjoy!

Side Note:
If you're among the pool of players who have been playing pre-release and created a save file before this update went live, your completion timer will start at 0 hr, 0 min, 0 sec next time you resume that file, resulting in a lower-than-actual completion time.
Starting a new save will resolve this if you care enough.
