A new demo is now available!

[p]It's been a little bit since the last update, but that's only because the playtesters have been hard at work running the game through its paces, and today I'm pleased to share the results of that endeavor with you! As opposed to the previous updates, which contained a full changelog, there's really too many changes to go through them one-by-one, so instead here's the major changes:[/p][p][/p][p]Unit placement[/p][p]You can now place your units before starting battle, letting you get everyone positioned just right. The game will also automatically place your units at approximately the same starting position from battle to battle, subject to map constraints.[/p][p][/p][p]Key rebinding[/p][p]You can now rebind the keyboard shortcuts to suit your play style. Note that only keyboard inputs can be rebound. Mouse and controller inputs are fixed.[/p][p][/p][p]Blocked attack previews[/p][p]Units will now show hatched attack cells to reflect areas they may be able to attack after other units move out of their way.[/p][p][/p][p]Other significant changes:[/p]
  • [p]Version number is now displayed on the main menu. You'll notice the version number in-game is different from the previous demo versions shared on Steam so that it aligns to the full game's release version.[/p]
  • [p]Progress is now saved[/p]
  • [p]Starting name, background, and party and remembered between runs[/p]
  • [p]Quitting the game will now forfeit battle[/p]
  • [p]Significant overhauls to game balance[/p]
  • [p]Various adjustments to the UI to result in a more consistent and usable layout[/p]
  • [p]Several events have been reworked, removed, or replaced[/p]
  • [p]Fixed a number of critical and non-critical bugs[/p]
[p][/p][p]Thank you all for playing! I look forward to sharing the full game with you soon![/p]
