We’re just not willing to hand you something we’re not proud of.[/p][p]All 275 animations are done. ✅[/p][p]Every animated moment across the full episode — completed over two intense production days. We’re in the final stretch now: upscaling and converting everything to WebM, then final QA and small tweaks before launch. We’re doing our absolute best to get this to you this weekend — our dual RTX 5090 system is running flat out, grinding through 275 animations around the clock.[/p][p]To give you a sense of what that actually means: we generated over 1,500 animations to land the 275 you’ll see. Some shots just don’t survive the process — motion artifacts, timing that’s slightly off, a frame that breaks the mood. We throw them out and go again. The voice animations are their own challenge entirely — Steam has strict content rules, and even a frame of unintended cleavage can trigger a rejection. So every animated scene gets reviewed frame by frame before it ships. Cutting-edge tools don’t mean easy. They mean more powerful problems.[/p][p]We said 5–7 days. It’s been 8. We hear you, and we’re not going to make excuses. What we’ll say is this: 275 animations don’t process in parallel, and some categories of animation are exponentially harder to get right than others — technically and from a compliance standpoint. Every time we hit a wall, we had a choice: ship something we’re not proud of, or fix it. We fixed it. Every time. That’s not changing.[/p][p]We’ll ship it the moment it’s ready and right.[/p][p]And honestly — the support and interest you’ve shown means more than we can put into words. The messages, the wishlists, the patience, the people who just said “take your time, do it right” — we see every single one. That’s exactly why we refuse to hand you something half-finished. High Corruption and Low Corruption aren’t just flavor. You’ll understand when you get there.[/p][p]This is the biggest release we’ve done. By a lot.[/p][p]We’ll keep polishing after launch — one scene in particular is getting ~150 additional images and light improvements. It’s great right now. We want it to be incredible.[/p][p]To keep momentum going, glamour gallery images will ship with Elena’s Origins — this lets us get EP2 out without holding back anything that’s already ready.[/p][p][/p][p]A note on saves: Your EP1 saves carry into EP2. One thing to know: EP1 didn’t track choices internally, so EP2 will ask you to set them at the start. Takes two minutes — or use it as an excuse to replay.[/p][p]Languages: EP2 launches day one in 13 languages. About 100 remain — that's 2-3 days of work at our current pace. Two scenes left to close out and that chapter is done.[/p][p]The animation work in this episode is on another level compared to Episode 1 — more expressive, more cinematic, more of what you asked for. And yes, we keep adding more as we move scene to scene. When something deserves it, it gets it.[/p][p]For those wondering where the time goes — animation in the AI era is not a one-click process. For every animation you see in the game, we generate 5-8 attempts that do not make the cut. To deliver ~300 animations, we generate closer to 1,000. Each one is a cycle of generate, evaluate, tweak, generate again — until it is right. It is time-consuming, it is iterative, and the results speak for themselves. We are actively looking for a French translator — if we find the right person in time, French ships with the release. If not, we will use a carefully reviewed AI translation as a placeholder and update it the moment a human translator is on board. Sofia had something to say. We let her.[/p][p]Episode 2: Dark Whispers is approaching the finish line — and the scale of this project has gone far beyond what we originally planned. Both paths get darker. The story goes places you won't expect. And the characters you thought you had figured out have a few surprises left.[/p][p]Following EP2, three new Short Stories drop through March and April — Valentine Rendezvous, a Character Origins, and The Dare. By the time we're done, the total Sofia's Dark Fantasies experience will sit at approximately 5,000 images and 500+ animations.[/p][p]Where we are right now:[/p][p]Final Audio & Polish phase. Music is about 50% scored. In roughly 7-10 days we move strictly into Translations and final QA, and after that is completed we will roll it out here.[/p][p]Why not rush it out? Because we've heard you. No crash-prone updates. No animation transitions that look like the game froze. When Episode 2 launches, every scene plays seamlessly.
