Greetings, citizens,

It is time to sprinkle some festive cheer!

❄ We are excited to announce that our Winter Update is now LIVE! 🎁
We’re adding new Winter and Christmas decorations, a snow brush, and a ton of bug fixes and improvements. Take a gander at the patch notes for this new update!

Version 8518

What’s New?

 • New winter-themed decorations in the research menu:
-Festive Tree Large
-Festive Tree Small
-Brazier
-Snow
-Present
-Sled
-Sleigh
-Snowman
-Snowy Tree
-Withered Snow Tree
 • Added a snowy landscape brush.
Quality of Life Improvements
 • Picking a random variation no longer automatically turns off randomisation in the decoration variation menu.
 • Tooltip for fences now properly includes both controls for curving, which are C/V AND Z/X.
 • Fixed that in some circumstances, the location of the pop-up when assigning a pet to a house would be too far from the original house.
 • Allergic to Camels trait has been made less rare to help with spawning the “on the lookout” inhabitant request.
 • The “Lavender Legend” request can now spawn on a farm that already has crops
 • Warnings related to the farm will now appear within the farm tab, not just as an icon on the building in the world.
 • The farm menu when clicking on a farm in the world now has a button to stop and start painting crops. You no longer need to reopen the menu to start painting again after cancelling.
Bug Fixes
 • Fixed an issue where pets messed with the happiness calculation letting a town go over 100%.
 • Fixed a problem with statues, the watch tower and the hopscotch sinking into the road when another decoration is placed nearby.
 • Fixed the issue where the book nook did not appear in the build menu.
 • Fixed an issue where the Economy Menu button wouldn't appear even though it should after loading a level.
 • Fix the issue where moving a family doesn't make the family’s cat move to a spot in the new house of the family.
 • The household UI, when clicking on a house to assign a pet, now shows the correct trait %.
 • Renamed pets now have the correct name in the pet inventory.
 • Fixed the potted flowers not allowing certain variants (purple/orange/white) to be placed on windows.
 • Fixed some traits showing an incorrect happiness percentage in the overlay and resident pop-up.
 • Fixed a missing tooltip in the warning for when there is a connection missing on the granary.
 • Fixed that when placing decorations on buildings, it could deform the kerbs underneath the building.
 • Fixed that you couldn't place decorations on the side of a building if that decoration would then hover over water.
 • Fixed cat teleporting all over the place when the house it was on is being moved
 • Fixed a research notification popping up if you could research the Golden Crampton monument, rewarded for owning Station to Station, but you couldn't because you don't own the game.
 • A dog that gets stuck should now automatically teleport to the inhabitant it follows to stop it from getting stuck.
 • Fixed that Twitch Integration didn’t work with pets living in town.
 • Fixed that decorations placed in water would sometimes get blocked from being interacted with by tools, due to the clickable fish spots taking priority.
 • Fixed that stepping stones wouldn't highlight when interacting with them.
 • Fixed that small tree stumps would clip with the ground when placed.
 • Fixed that animal bushes would sometimes get distorted when placing them.
 • Fixed issues with the wall variant of the small autumn hedge.
 • Fixed a missing door to the small station version.
We hope you enjoy this new update! And from all of us - we hope you have a wonderful holiday season 🎄

A Sneak Peek at What’s to Come
Greetings, Citizens!

The year is slowly winding down to a close, and what a year it has been for us!
From announcing Town to City back in January, a number of showcases throughout the year, playtests and demos, and a strong Early Access launch in September with multiple updates following: it is safe to say that 2025 has been an absolute whirlwind.

We know we say this a lot, but we truly cannot thank you enough for the support you’ve given Town to City this year - you have been incredible! From playtesting early versions of the game and content updates, to bug reports and feedback on what you want to see in future updates, you have been a crucial part of Town To City’s development. We genuinely read every comment (good and bad!), and these are extremely valuable to us while we develop the game. As we move through the Early Access campaign we wanted to update our content roadmap to give you a better idea of what you have to look forward to as we move closer to 1.0.

We are thrilled to announce that the Christmas micro-update will be going live next week! We hope you enjoy adding some festive cheer to your towns.

You may have noticed that we have added a new major update into the roadmap. We will have more details of this in the new year, but we thought we would give you a sneak peek of what's to come! What we can say now is that we planned this additional update as a result of your feedback, with this being one of the most requested features from the community. Stay tuned for more details!

In addition to our new, extended road map, we also have some exciting news that a separate team here at Galaxy Grove have been working hard on a new unannounced management game. This team has been busy working away on this project for almost a year already and we can't wait to share more information on it in the new year.

Your creations within our game have been nothing short of spectacular, and we’re incredibly excited to see what else you do with future updates. Please share your snowcapped towns when the Christmas update drops next week!

From, Galaxy Grove
