Story of SAVE l Dev Log #2

Hi Everyone, and welcome back to our second Dev Blog, brought to you by yours truly.

If you haven't checked it out yet, registration for our first playtest is live! Be sure to sign up and experience SAVE when it launches—you won't want to miss it!

It’s been an exciting and intense month since our teaser dropped few months ago, but all the hard work will soon pay off when we finally get to watch players dive into our world. Today, I’m thrilled to share more about the story and concept behind SAVE.
Inspiration of SAVEâš“
As we mentioned in our first dev log SAVE is deeply inspired by our team’s experience aboard a real training ship. We asked ourselves: what would be the perfect setting for a survival horror game at sea? While searching for maritime survival horror games, we found ocean horror games like Monstrum and other rogue-like survival horror titles which helped us inspire to start our devlopment of SAVE .

In terms of story narratives, we aimed to incorporate modern day Korean occult elements to present a unique take on the maritime survival horror genre.

with these inspiration, we developed SAVE, a survival horror game that combines PvE cooperative gameplay with psychological horror. Our goal is to provide players with an experience where they must cooperate with teammates in extreme survival situations while strategically facing relentless pressure and fear.
Narrative of SAVE📖
In SAVE, players takes on the role of an agent from USTC, a private military company in Korea. USTC (UDT/SEAL Tactical Consulting) is founded by veterans from the UDT/SEAL forces and primarily provides security and escort services. Recently, they gained recognition by appearing on a popular military survival reality show.

As USTC rises to fame, they receive a lucrative yet suspicious mission. This task involves monitoring and investigating a large-scale overseas missionary operation conducted by a religious group that owns the 6,000 ton ship SENARA.

The game begins as USTC agents are tasked with monitoring the SENARA from the sea, eventually infiltrating the ship for a search operation. Once on board, players will confront unexpected mysterious situations, embarking on a fierce survival to uncover hidden truths and escape safely from the ship.
The Unknown Threats Awaits
It sounds thrilling, right? But what’s the real danger aboard SENARA? Is it simply monstrous creatures lurking in the dark, or is there something even more sinister pulling the strings? These are the questions we want you to ask yourself as you explore the ship’s creaking corridors. Every encounter is designed to test your nerves in ways that will leave your heart racing.

While I sit at my desk, counting down the days until our first playtest, I can’t help but feel a mix of excitement (and fear!). It’s finally happening, and soon you’ll be stepping into this terrifying world we’ve built. If you haven't signed up yet, visit our steam page and sign up now!

That’s it for this dev blog. If you enjoyed it, be sure to like, comment, and wishlist the game—it means the world to us! And feel free to drop suggestions about what you’d like to see in future updates. We love hearing from you.

Until then, take care, and stay safe!
Simon

Welcome to SAVE l Dev log #1
Hello Everyone!
It's Influsion, and this is our very first devlog!
We wanted to share the story of how SAVE began and introduce you guys after our release of the teaser!

Before we dive into our devlog, we want to thank everyone who has enjoyed the teaser! Moreover, during the teaser, there were questions like, "So, what is this game about? Is it based on a religious cult? Is it inspired by a tragic incident in Korea?" To answer your questions!

SAVE is a 'Lovecraft'-based survival horror PVE game, which is currently in development!
Let me tell you a story how it began …
The story of SAVE began when we visited a 6,000-ton training ship used for training. Something unexpected happened. As we wandered around the ship, we kept getting lost in its maze-like corridors. It wasn’t just disorienting; it was actually kind of creepy. The deeper we ventured, the more unsettling it became. The long, empty hallways, the strange noises echoing off the metal walls—it all felt a bit too eerie for comfort.

That’s when the idea hit us. What if we could turn this unsettling experience into a game? The ship’s layout, the sense of isolation, and the unease we felt could be the perfect foundation for an immersive horror game. We started brainstorming ideas, imagining how players could explore the ship, outwit threats, and uncover a deeper story, all while being haunted by that same uneasy feeling we experienced firsthand.
What is SAVE ?
You play as an agent who is dispatched to investigate the suspicious voyage of the "SENARA" and unravel its secrets. However, the "SENARA" is teeming with unknown threats determined to prevent you from uncovering its mysteries, all while pulling the ship into the depths of the sea. You must fulfill your mission and escape before the horrors of the deep drag you under, all while evading the relentless terrors lurking in the darkness of the "SENARA."

The game is still in development, and we want to keep you in the loop with all the latest updates on the project's progress. As we prepare to enter Early Access, we'll be sharing more details about the game, including new features, gameplay mechanics, and more.

Anyway, I think I’ll wrap it up here. If you enjoyed this devlog, like and comment below, as well as wishlist the game, which I will greatly appreciate! Let me know what you would like to see in the next devlog.
Until then, take care, and stay safe!
