Wordatro! News

New Year, Special Promotion and Some News

Hello! First of all...

Happy New Year!

I hope this new year is going to be full of syllables, words, punctuation and, most importantly, that you'll have the best letter draws in your decks!

And for that, I say to you: Thank you! It's huge, I don't know exactly how long it would take to say thank you 16,000 times, but I think it every day!

I have more good news to share with you:
Wordatro is now on special offer at 30% off on Steam!
That's right! Wordatro! has secured a daily deal on Steam, giving us some extra exposure. We hope this will be an opportunity to extend the gift-giving season and the joy of giving to others or yourself for a whole week! Thank you, Steam!
And next ?
I have prepared a roadmap to keep you informed about the future development of Wordatro. As I mentioned previously, with the arrival of my chick, it is difficult for me to work full-time on continuing development as I would like to... But I promise you that I am making progress!
Short Q&A section
Hey! I noticed that quite a few of you responded to my news, but... I admit that I didn't see it right away, so I apologise for that. I've selected a question that I saw posted, and I invite you to join the discord server to get a quicker response especially regarding bugs !

Q: Why was infinite mode removed from the daily challenge?
The problem with the infinite mode of the daily challenge is that it didn't really reward skill, but rather the amount of time you were able to endure playing an almost infinite game... We know you're strong, now you have to prove it sooner! ;)

I will try to include more questions in my next news items, so please feel free to ask any you may have!
Highlight
As you know, we were lucky enough to have a video about Wordatro! featured on the GameGrumps channel! Thank you to them for introducing the game to thousands of people.

Bug fix & more Update!

Hi,
[p][/p][p]After 5 months since its release, I took some time for my family and myself, and to work on the next steps for Wordatro![/p][p]
Today I wanted to share a small update mainly focused on addressing some of the feedback you’ve given me.[/p][p][/p][p]Here's a little preview of what's changing: [/p][p][/p]
 • [p] The daily challenge is no longer infinite! No more improbable daily scores, everyone will have the same limit. You'll have to use even more strategy to get the highest score possible![/p]
 • [p]You can insert letters into the word you are building Well, it was about time, I admit. But it was a lot of work![/p]
 • [p]More words in the dictionary In French: over 30,000 new words. In English: over 100,000! And other languages too! Again, it's about time, but it's not as simple as it seems...[/p]
[p]Bonus balancing. Yes, indeed. Bug fixes, of course! We've fixed most of your reported bugs and some others you hadn't noticed 👀 [/p][p][/p][p]Don’t forget to join the game’s Discord server to share any bugs you might encounter and chat with the community : here.[/p][p][/p]
Highlight
[p]I still wanted to take a moment to share dolphinoa11/Asakura’s run on Discord — they took on an incredible challenge on October 19th:[/p]
A 24-hour stream on Wordatro, with 21 hours spent on the same run.
[p]That’s pretty insane and definitely worth mentioning![/p][p][/p]

Wordatro! is out! 🎉

Wordatro! is now available on Steam 🎉
[p]After more than a year in development, my first game as a solodev is finally out![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p]
What's next?
[p]I plan to keep working on the game and make regular free updates.[/p][p]Here's a list of what I'd like to implement in the short, medium and long term:[/p]
 • [p]accessibility features[/p]
 • [p]ability for players to suggest words to add to the dictionary[/p]
 • [p]option for players to add their own dictionaries[/p]
[p]For the moment, the roadmap is still hazy because... I'm about to become a father 🍼 (not of Wordatro, but of a real baby!).[/p][p]It's my first child, so I'm having a hard time realizing how much time I'll have available afterwards... That's why I wanted to get the game out now, even if there are still improvements to be made. You've already got hours of gameplay ahead of you![/p][p]Your feedback and suggestions are invaluable in improving Wordatro, so don't hesitate to share them on the Discord server or the Steam Community Hub! I promise, in between baby bottles, I'll do my utmost to keep improving the game![/p][p][/p]
A huge THANK YOU
[p]Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for supporting me in the development of Wordatro. Many of you have playtested the game, given me feedback and suggestions, streamed the games, kept the Discord community alive, talked about it around you... you've been incredible![/p][p]Leaving a positive review on the game's Steam page would help enormously to promote it on the platform and contribute greatly to its commercial success. If you'd like to support me and the game, please don't hesitate to do so. I'd be very grateful![/p][p][/p]
Accessibility
[p]You may have noticed that the layout of the bonuses has changed, or that the interface is no longer exactly the same. These changes are the result of work carried out with Olivier Nourry (from Games Accessibility Hub) to make the game accessible to as many people as possible.[/p][p]Thanks to the exchanges we've had, I've been able to make the game more accessible, and I'd like to push things even further by proposing a thematic update on accessibility in the coming months.[/p][p][/p]
Languages
[p]The game interface is available in 9 languages (English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Dutch, Russian and Simplified Chinese) and you can play with dictionaries in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese and Dutch.[/p][p]Perfect if you want to improve your language skills or play with your kids to learn words![/p][p]Thanks again for your support during the development of Wordatro! Now that it's time for me to concentrate on my new job as a dad, I'm handing over to my publisher Abiding Bridge to pass on your feedback. I'll get back to you soon, I promise![/p][p][/p][p]Have fun![/p]

Wordatro | Release Date Trailer

[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Wordatro! is coming to Steam on Monday, June 23, 2025 at 7 p.m. CET![/p][p]I'm both very happy and very scared that it's so soon... If you haven't already, please consider adding the game to your wishlist to help me gain more visibility.[/p][p]I'd also like to remind you that for every 1000 wishlists, I'm giving away a key to the game on the Discord server![/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]For the occasion, I've made a major update to the game, with 7 playable languages instead of 2, and 9 languages available for the player interface![/p][p]You can now form words in English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, and Dutch. The interface is available in all these languages, as well as in Chinese and Russian.[/p]
 • [p]4 difficulty levels to test your language skills[/p]
 • [p]50+ unique bonuses: Incredible upgrades and synergies to destroy score targets[/p]
 • [p]50 creative challenges: put your skills to the test with a myriad of additional challenges.[/p]
[p]A new demo is available to give you a taste of the full game.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
Wordatro soundtrack!
[p]To coincide with the game's release, the Wordatro! soundtrack will also be available on Steam! Immerse yourself in the relaxing ambience that Tiny Squid has composed for peaceful play.[/p][p]The soundtrack will include all 8 tracks featured in the game, for a total of over 20 minutes of music![/p][p][/p]
Accessibility
[p]I'm working with Olivier Nourry (from Games Accessibility Hub), who joined me on the Wordatro! adventure to make the game accessible to as many people as possible. I'll tell you more about this when it's released, but here are a few points that reinforce Wordatro's accessibility:[/p]
 • [p]Some animated effects can be deactivated, and 3 speed levels are available to prevent kinetosis,[/p]
 • [p]Color is not the only vector of information,[/p]
 • [p]Large, self-explanatory icons,[/p]
 • [p]Wordatro! can be played in windowed or full-screen mode,[/p]
 • [p]Typographies chosen for their legibility[/p][p][/p]
[p]See you on Monday, 23rd. I can't wait![/p][p][/p][p]Le Poulet[/p]
