Tlatoani: Aztec Cities News

Update to version 1.4.2

This update includes all the work previously included on the experimental/testing branch, notably including support for mods and potential translation work, but also various fixes for military AI, and the addition of venue-supervision tasks for nobles. Work on two additional campaign missions has been disabled for now.

Any bug reports are appreciated, of course.

Minor fixes for main build

* Added edge-scrolling in the empire map, and allowed city-selection to persist
* Added instant fullscreen/windowed-mode changes, fix for windowed-mode being stuck
* Other minor fixes and adjustments

Minor fixes for 1.4.1i

* Modified construction-routines to spread out work on unbuilt structures more evenly
* Fix for bug in goldsmith construction and building-relocation routines
* Other minor fixes and adjustments

Minor patch on main branch (1.4.1i) and Tooltips on experimental branch (1.4.2a)

There should now be updates on both the main branch and experimental/testing branch:

1.4.1i patch (main branch)-
* Fix to ensure palace is always detected for culture bonus
* Fix for tint of access-preview from cistern

1.4.2a patch (experimental branch)-
* Work on support for more extensive/clarified UI tooltips
* Fix to ensure Turkey Hutches can deliver soil to farms
* Re-balanced diversion/education/healthcare bonuses from venues to cap at +105
* Other minor fixes and adjustments

Prologue Ending

Dear Tlatoani players,

We have some important news to share. The Tlatoani Prologue will be taken down on December 19th. This marks the end of its journey as we prepare for the next chapter in Tlatoani’s development.

Once again we want to thank everyone who played for their feedback and support during the development process. And we do have one last update to make- the current build of the Prologue should now allow you to export saves as scenario-files for loading in the main game.

In order to do this:
  1. Go to Settings -> Simulation in the Prologue, and Check 'Save City as XML'.
    [expand][/expand]
  2. Open one of your cities in-game and then save it again- this will generate a .scen.xml copy of your .tlt file in the saves directory. (Note: you can right-click on your games in the steam library to browse local files!)
    [expand][/expand]
  3. Move or copy this file to the media/Scenarios/General folder of the main game- your prologue city should now be available to play in the main game as a freestyle scenario.
    [expand][/expand]

We will also be adding a free demo to the main game for players to try. While the demo will feature less content than the Prologue, it will still give new players a glimpse into the core experience of Tlatoani. It’s a perfect way to try out the game or introduce it to a friend.

If you have any trouble with city-save exports, let us know on the forums or official discord. Jump into the Prologue now before it’s gone!
