Diablo meets StarCraft in Armageddonica, a new ARPG and RTS mashup

There are two ways to play action RPGs like Diablo, Path of Exile, or Grim Dawn. You either do the damage yourself by casting spells or tonking enemies with a big hammer, or you summon a few pals to do the work for you. If you've ever played a Necromancer or Witch Doctor and hoped for a few more friends you can throw into fights, then Armageddonica has been listening and is here for you.

Meet Armageddonica, an action RPG where you command an entire army from Heaven

The world is dead, most of humanity is already wiped out. The ruins of the world now belong to the insatiable Dire Gods, exiled deities who have claimed dominion over the mortal plane. As humanity fell, the Heavens remained silent, dreading the war to come. But the hunger of Baal-Marduk, the World Eater, knows no bounds. The Forces of the Light must rise and fight back for the salvation of all creation — or face annihilation.

We’re thrilled to announce Armageddonica, a new dark fantasy ARPG with army management, premiered today during the Ukrainian Games Festival 2024 event on Steam. The premiere comes with a fresh teaser, giving you a glimpse of the gameplay.

You play as one of the Champions, heavenly generals — each Champion is a powerful hero with unique skills and equipment, but they cannot face the Dire Gods alone. You will lead the Radiant Armada — a coalition of forces from both Heaven and Hell united in their mission to destroy Baal-Marduk. You must balance your Champion’s abilities with the strength of their assembled troops, managing and commanding an army to support them in battle.

ARPG with an Army. Balance your Champion’s amazing abilities with the sheer number of troops in your divine army. Upgrade your hero and summon more powerful soldiers from the Radiant Armada to win in your struggle against the Dire Gods!

Assemble the Divine Army. Lead a coalition of diverse factions—from high-tech Paragons to immortal warriors, biological Angels, and the undead. Each faction excels at their own type of combat, be it melee skirmishes or ranged firefights. Mix and match units to create an army worthy of the heavens!
Adapt to Armageddon. Every battle in Armageddonica requires a new approach. Unlock gear, adapt your skills, and face fresh challenges each time you play. Every playthrough is designed to be an intense, high-stakes roguelike challenge.
Rebuild the Kingdom of Light. Your Bastion is your base of operations and your sanctuary. Upgrade it between each playthrough to unlock new units, abilities, and storylines. Strengthen your forces and revisit old battles for even greater rewards!
A Story of Divine Proportions. Face Baal-Marduk, a Dire God bent on destroying every living thing in the universe. After ousting his sadistic uncle Enlil for conspiring with Angels, and murdering his cousin Ninurthar, Baal-Marduk’s hunger knows no bounds. Will you be able to stop him?
