🛻Your Question Answered!🛻
Hi Guys,
Hope you're doing well! 😊
We asked for your questions across our platforms, and we’re kicking off February by answering them. We loved seeing your curiosity and excitement for One Move Away, so let’s dive in! 📦📦📦
🛻 Is One Move Away a VR game? Any plans to implement VR capabilities?
One Move Away is a first-person game designed to be played with a mouse and keyboard or a controller. While VR isn’t included in our 1.0 plans, we’ve heard your feedback and are exploring the possibility for the future!
🛻 What kind of content can we expect in the official launch? Is there a storyline?
The full game will feature three distinct characters, each with their own storyline to explore. Their journeys unfold across 6–7 chapters/levels, with the narrative evolving as you progress.
Are these characters connected? Well, that’s for you to discover. 😉
🛻 When is the release date?
It’s coming this year (2025)! Stay tuned for more updates.
🛻 How did the idea for the game come about?
Helping a friend move, of course! Back in 2023, I was in the truck, setting everything up. It’s something I love doing, but it’s not easy to share—only one person can do it at a time, and it’s very physical.
At the time, I was searching for my next project after finishing a big production. I had been prototyping different genres, but when I tested this idea, it immediately felt right. That same day, I knew this would be my next big project.
🛻 Can I send you a photo of my cat to add to the game?
While we can’t promise to add your cat to the game, we strongly encourage you to share photos with us! 🐱 Post them on our social channels—we’d love to see them, so keep them coming!
🛻 What inspired the art style and first-person perspective?
First-person games are often associated with shooters, but for us, it was the perfect fit to create a sense of physicality—being inside the vehicle, reaching out to interact with the world.
Narratively, it also helps us avoid directly representing the characters, allowing players to project onto them using their own imagination.
For the art direction, we focused on simple, readable silhouettes for gameplay while crafting a luminous, colourful ambiance to create a calm and cozy atmosphere. The result is a slightly cartoonish look with realistic material effects.
We also took this as an opportunity to explore unusual settings—farm backyards, small-town sports complexes, suburban stores—places that often go unnoticed but have their own quiet charm.
🛻 Is procrastination allowed?
YES! We want to create a relaxed, cozy vibe—especially when you’re loading up your trunks. Take your time, find your own rhythm, and enjoy the ride. 🚚💨
🛻Will the game have multiplayer or crossplay?
For now, One Move Away is single-player only. However, we’re exploring post-launch possibilities, including new game modes. Co-op is something we’re considering, but it’s still in the early stages.
🛻 Will the game have achievements?
Yes! Achievements are part of our plan and will be available in the game.
🛻Will it run on Steam Deck?
Yes! We’re designing One Move Away with Steam Deck compatibility in mind.
🛻 Will the game be free?
No, the game will be a paid release, but we haven’t finalized the price yet. We’ll share details closer to launch.
🛻 Will there be a demo?
Yes! You can get exclusive access to the demo by signing up on our website:
