[/p][p][/p][p]Hello, this is JANG, the Executive Producer of Game of Thrones: Kingsroad.[/p][p][/p][p]Season 3: Light and Shadow is nearing its conclusion, and we would like to express our appreciation for the continued support and participation from players throughout its journey. With the season’s end approaching, the long-awaited Altar of Lost Memories: Firewyrm will soon make its debut.[/p][p][/p][p]In this developer note, we will be sharing an overview of the upcoming November update, along with our vision for the future direction of development.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]🏰 DEVELOPMENT DIRECTION AND UPDATE CYCLE[/p][p][/p][p]Before introducing the contents of our November update, we would like to address a few important points regarding our long-term development plans. [/p][p][/p][p]Our team’s fundamental goal is to deliver a game that truly captures the rich, immersive experience of the vast continent of Westeros. We acknowledge that Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is still a work in progress, and we remain committed to ongoing improvement as we move forward.[/p][p][/p][p]We continue to thoroughly review the wide range of feedback provided by the community, representing diverse playstyles and perspectives. This process has helped us identify areas where we have not yet met expectations, reinforcing our determination to create a more refined and complete experience.[/p][p][/p][p]At the same time, the current scale of our studio makes it challenging to deliver large-scale updates and improvements while simultaneously expanding into new global service regions.[/p][p][/p][p]Taking this into account, we have made the decision to slightly extend our update cycle for a temporary period. This will allow us to focus fully on sustained quality improvements and ensure a stable development environment.[/p][p][/p][p]We sincerely apologize for this necessary change to our update schedule. To demonstrate our commitment, the November update will showcase the direction Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is taking to improve and expand the game.[/p][p][/p][p]The November update will introduce a new Altar of Lost Memories, along with cooperative content for playing with friends, and new progression systems, along with other improvements and additions.[/p][p][/p][p]Some of these features are even being deployed ahead of their original schedule. Our team has poured tremendous effort into this update, and we genuinely hope the community will enjoy the experience.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]🛠️ IMPROVEMENTS[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]1. BEYOND THE WALL EXPEDITION OVERHAUL[/p][p]The Beyond the Wall Expedition is among the features slated for improvement during the season restructuring period. As a result, in-game access to this content will be temporarily closed and it is scheduled to return with a new season. As such, we strongly recommend using all Beyond the Wall Expedition tickets and claiming all rewards before the November update.[/p][p][/p][p]However, any Beyond the Wall Expedition Requisition Tokens acquired can continue to be used as the related shop will remain open.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]2. IMPROVED CONTENT ACCESSIBILITY[/p][p]The menu UI will be reorganized in this update to improve usability and streamline access to core gameplay content.[/p][p][/p][p]Currently, certain activities such as the Altar of Memories or Beyond the Wall Expedition require multiple navigation steps, including entering the World Map and selecting Key Locations, or having to navigate to the Season menu. With the redesigned UI, all major dungeons and content will be visible in a single menu, allowing players to access them with a single click.[/p][p][/p][p]By selecting content directly from the updated menu, players will be able to enter immediately, making overall gameplay flow faster, clearer, and more intuitive.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]​[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]3. PRODUCTION & TRADE[/p][p]This update will also further refine the structure of the production and trade systems, making them more efficient and intuitive.[/p][p][/p][p]Under the current system, an excessive number of trading routes and inconsistent expected values make it difficult for players to identify the most efficient trading options.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Furthermore, the existence of trading goods not linked to character progression causes a disconnect from the natural flow of gameplay and a lack of cohesion with the overall experience.[/p][p][/p][p]To resolve these issues, the trade system will be restructured as follows:[/p][p][/p]
  1. [p]The Trading Post will be separate from the Manor Management Office and will be managed independently.[/p]
  2. [p]Freeing Occupied Sites will no longer grant access to trading routes. Instead, routes will be unlocked based on the level of the Trading Post.[/p]
  3. [p]The expected value of trading goods will scale with the Trading Post’s building level, ensuring rewards are aligned with player progression.[/p]
  4. [p]The Trading Carriage system will be removed, allowing rewards to be claimed immediately without time requirements or worker assignments.[/p]
[p]* Please note that there will be a limit to the number of times rewards can be claimed. Further details will be available once the November update is complete.[/p][p][/p][p]The Production system will also be redesigned to better reflect its intended design: enabling players to accumulate rewards even while offline.[/p][p][/p]
  1. [p]The production building will be separate from the Manor Management Office and function solely as a production facility.[/p]
  2. [p]Once workers are assigned, rewards will automatically accumulate over time in an idle-style format.[/p]
  3. [p]Players will be able to collect accumulated rewards instantly with a single click upon logging in.[/p]
[p][/p][p]We expect these changes to provide a clearer and more efficient structure for trade and production, aligning progression more naturally with each player’s stage of growth.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]4. SKILL LEVELING[/p][p]The November update will introduce improvements to the skill progression system.[/p][p][/p][p]These adjustments are designed to address the ambiguity around where to invest Skill Points. The goal is to ensure that a character’s combat efficiency naturally improves as they level up.[/p][p][/p][p]The “Strike Combo” skills will retain the current method of leveling up through direct point investment.[/p][p]However, Special Attacks and Moving Attacks, Basic Attacks, and Ranged Attacks, which players rarely invested points in, will now automatically scale with the character’s level.[/p][p][/p][p]Accordingly, all skill points previously invested in any of the above skill types that will no longer require point investment will be fully returned after the update.[/p][p][/p][p]With these improvements to skill level progression, players will be able to experience more effective combat as they level up.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]5. MOUNT CONTROL IMPROVEMENTS[/p][p]Mount controls will be improved, allowing for more natural and seamless maneuvering when changing directions using the keyboard.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]👑 NOVEMBER UPDATE: NEW CONTENT[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]1. MULTIPLAYER CONTENT: BESIEGED SITES[/p][p]This update will introduce a new small-scale, coop field content designed for 2 players to enjoy casually: Besieged Sites. This content will unlock starting from World Difficulty 1 \[Man-at-Arms I] and will become available after clearing an Occupied Site.[/p][p][/p][p]Raids will occur at designated times in one of the random Occupied Sites, with a notice appearing ten minutes prior to alert players.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will be able to participate in two ways:[/p][p][/p]
  1. [p]Direct Entry: Enter the content directly from the World Map[/p]
  2. [p]In-Zone Join: Join via the quest panel when entering the Occupied Site during the event[/p]
[p][/p][p]Furthermore, an infiltration matchmaking system will be implemented to automatically backfill slots if a player leaves midway, ensuring that players can always enjoy seamless cooperative play.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will be rewarded for successfully defending the site and defeating the final boss. This mode is designed to provide a fun and casual cooperative experience, letting players team up and enjoy fast-paced combat together.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] ​[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]2. MULTIPLAYER CONTENT: COOP MISSION SYSTEM[/p][p]While Besieged Sites will provide small-group cooperative play, the upcoming update will also introduce content that can be enjoyed server-wide.[/p][p][/p][p]A new Cooperative Mission System will be added, allowing all players within a server to work together to achieve goals and earn rewards.[/p][p][/p][p]During designated periods, all players on a server will receive a common mission. Individual progress will contribute to a collective server-wide completion meter, with each player’s efforts automatically reflected in real time.[/p][p][/p][p]As the server reaches each milestone, rewards will be granted to all players in the server. In addition, individual contributions will be recorded on a ranking board, allowing players to earn extra rewards based on their rank.[/p][p][/p][p]This new system is designed to foster a sense of unity as the entire server strives towards a single shared goal, providing both the enjoyment of tackling a shared objective with comrades and individual reward opportunities.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]3. SINGLE-PLAYER CONTENT: CHALLENGER[/p][p]Challenger is a new single-player system that will trigger through RP usage.[/p][p][/p][p]Points will accumulate every time players spend RP after completing regional exploration content. The more RP used on activities, the higher the chances of acquiring Challenger Bonus Points.[/p][p][/p][p]When triggered, the Challenger will appear based on the region where RP was consumed. Defeating the Challenger will grant players a chance to obtain special rewards.[/p][p][/p][p]As players continue their exploration, they will encounter Challengers who return seeking vengeance, gaining thrilling combat tension and securing valuable loot.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]4. WORLD BOSS DROGON: NEW DIFFICULTY[/p][p]The difficulty level of Black Shadow Drogon in the Crow’s Nest region will be expanded.[/p][p][/p][p]Players will be able to face an even more formidable version of Black Shadow Drogon at World Difficulty 5 (Hedge Knight 2) and above. The recommended Momentum will be adjusted accordingly and will be available to challenge for those with Momentum of 250,000 or above, so players should prepare diligently for an intense battle against this newly strengthened Drogon.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]5. ALTAR OF MEMORIES: HARD MODE 2[/p][p]A new Hard Mode 2 difficulty will be added to the Altar of Memories.[/p][p][/p][p]All current Altar of Memories bosses will be available to challenge at this elevated difficulty level. The recommended Momentum will be increased accordingly to 220,000 to match the challenge, and players will be able to acquire Tier 7 Legendary equipment as Wish Rewards.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]6. TITLES[/p][p]In many RPGs, title systems serve not only as a way to express character identity, but also as a meaningful reward that recognizes player achievement. Titles serve as symbols of honor, representing dedication and skill rather than functioning solely as cosmetic features.[/p][p][/p][p]With this update, a new title system will be introduced, allowing players to showcase the honor and accomplishments earned throughout their journey across Westeros. By progressing through various gameplay activities, players will be able to unlock a wide range of titles that highlight prestige or reflect individual style.[/p][p]  [/p][p][/p][p] ​[/p][p][/p][p]7. PROGRESSION: SLOT ENHANCEMENT[/p][p]A new progression system will be introduced that strengthens the performance of equipped gear and jewelry at the slot level.[/p][p][/p][p]This system will assign levels to specific equipment slots, applying certain effects to the equipment items in these slots.[/p][p][/p][p]In other words, not only can currently owned gear be used more effectively through enhancements, but newly acquired equipment can also be swapped in while retaining the same slot enhancement level, allowing characters to maintain a higher power level.[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, slot enhancements are designed to increase an item’s performance by a set percentage based on its progression. This means higher-tier gear with better stats will feel noticeably more powerful, providing players with a stronger sense of progression.[/p][p][/p][p]Each slot enhancement level will require specific materials, which will be obtainable through the Altar of Memories and various field content. Higher World Difficulties will yield higher-tier materials. Once the required materials are gathered, enhancement success will be determined by a set success rate. Each failed attempt will grant bonus progression towards the next try, gradually increasing the overall success rate.[/p][p][/p][p]Additionally, failed attempts will also accumulate points, and once the gauge reaches its maximum value, the next enhancement attempt will be guaranteed to succeed. Players will also be able to invest additional materials during enhancement attempts to increase the success rate, offering a more strategic approach to progression.[/p][p][/p][p]Slot enhancement progress will remain intact even when switching to higher-tier equipment, ensuring lasting value for the time and resources invested.[/p][p]  [/p][p]
[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]8. PROGRESSION: ENGRAVING[/p][p]In this update, the equipment progression system structure will be completely revamped with the addition of the Skill Traits and the new Engraving System, building upon the Forging system introduced in our last developer note.[/p][p][/p][p]However, with the upcoming overhaul of the equipment progression system, there may be changes to effects on equipment crafted before the update. We strongly recommend crafting new equipment after the November update is complete.[/p][p][/p][p]The first key change in the equipment progression overhaul is the following update to the Skill Trait system.[/p][p][/p]
  1. [p]Previously, players needed to refine equipment to obtain skill traits. Moving forward, equipment will come with Skill Traits already engraved upon acquisition.[/p]
  2. [p]Legendary-grade equipment will be able to hold up to two Skill Traits.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Now, let us explain the biggest change: the addition of the Equipment Engraving System.[/p][p][/p][p]The core feature of this system is that players will be able to extract Skill Traits into a separate item and then engrave that trait onto another piece of equipment.[/p][p][/p][p]However, the success rate for engraving will differ depending on the equipment grade.[/p][p][/p][p]For example, a Skill Trait extracted from Rare equipment can still be engraved onto Legendary equipment, but the success rate will be lower than a trait extracted from Epic or Legendary gear.[/p][p][/p][p]When extracting a Skill Trait, the original equipment will be destroyed, and the extracted trait can then be transferred to new equipment.[/p][p][/p][p]This will remove the inconvenience of repeatedly using Equipment Hardeners to reacquire desired traits each time equipment tiers change, making the trait transfer between tiers much more convenient.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p] ​[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]With the introduction of the Engraving system, the value of Equipment Hardeners will naturally be reduced compared to before.[/p][p][/p][p]To compensate, we plan to efficiently adjust the required quantities of Equipment and Jewelry Hardener and Effect Lockers. We will also expand the quantity of these items available for exchange through events and in-game exchange shops to ensure players can use them more freely.[/p][p][/p][p]Furthermore, to celebrate the November Update, we will be distributing Equipment and Jewelry Hardeners and Effect Lockers to all players. Don’t miss out and make sure to claim the rewards![/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][p]This concludes today’s developer note.[/p][p][/p][p]Our development team’s goal is to ensure that players across the world feel a genuine sense of progression within the world of Westeros, and enjoy the excitement of adventuring together.[/p][p][/p][p]To achieve this goal, development is actively underway on a variety of new features, including competitive PvE content.
