Season 1: The Drowned God Wakes, which kicked off with the addition of the Kraken Raid, is soon coming to an end. As we look back on the journey of our very first season, we want to extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who played, battled, and explored alongside us. Your dedication, feedback, and enthusiasm helped shape an unforgettable start to what lies ahead.
In this developer’s note, we’re excited to give you a first look at what’s coming in Season 2, along with a preview of some of our long-term development plans.
Behind the scenes, our team is already hard at work laying the foundation for major updates that will significantly change and shape the future of the game. These long-term efforts are focused on expanding core systems, enhancing gameplay depth, and delivering fresh experiences for all players.
We’re preparing a wide range of impactful new features, including a
weapon swap system that will allow each class to wield two different weapon types, as well as
comprehensive enhancements to multiplayer content that will deepen cooperative play.
Because these systems are deeply interconnected and technically complex, delivering them quickly poses a significant challenge. That said, development is progressing steadily, and we’re committed to keeping you informed every step of the way. Future developer notes will include regular updates so you can follow along as these features and systems continue to develop.

💍 1. Jewelry System Upgrade[/h3][p]
We’re excited to introduce a significant upgrade to the jewelry crafting system that brings more flexibility while preserving meaningful strategy. Previously, recasting jewelry required players to use identical pieces as materials, which often made the process limiting and resource-heavy.
With the upcoming update, you’ll be able to use different types of jewelry as material when recasting. This change is designed to ease inventory pressure and give you more freedom in how you approach crafting. However, using identical jewelry pieces will still offer an advantage, as the number of materials required will vary based on the pieces used.
This improvement is part of our broader efforts to make crafting systems more intuitive, rewarding, and better suited to a variety of playstyles.

⚔️ 2. Skill Progression Grouping[/h3][p]
We’ve heard the feedback regarding leveling up multiple Strike Combo skills, and we’re making some adjustments to how these abilities progress.
Currently, Strike Combo I, II, III, and IV function as separate skills, each requiring individual leveling and skill point investment. As a result, most players often focus on a single combo, which can limit build variety.
To streamline progression, we’ll be grouping these four combo skills into a single “Strike Combo” group. Moving forward, investing in Strike Combo will level up all four types simultaneously, reducing unnecessary micromanagement and making progression feel more impactful as characters are developed, while allowing smoother skill management with more tactical freedom.

With the launch of Season 2, Game of Thrones: Kingsroad will officially support
Dualsense controllers and a range of mobile gamepads across both iOS and Android platforms. This addition is aimed at giving players more freedom in how they experience the game, whether on the go or from the comfort of a controller setup.
Our development team remains focused on delivering smooth, responsive controls that feel intuitive across all supported devices. 🎊 1. Seasonal Content[/h3][p]
The upcoming update will mark the beginning of
Season 2: Highgarden Grand Festival. [/p][p]
Season 2 unfolds in the heart of Highgarden, where the realm gathers to celebrate the royal marriage of Margaery Tyrell and Tommen Baratheon. Amid the vibrant festivities and blooming gardens, however, a dark mystery begins to unfold.
Upon arriving in Highgarden, players will encounter Maester Theobald, who brings unsettling news. The body of a giant, once entombed beneath the Citadel, has mysteriously vanished. Known as Valter, a knight sworn to the minor House Lyndale, the giant’s disappearance sets off a chain of events that soon draws you into a deeper mystery.
Adding to the intrigue, a bastard son of House Lyndale has also arrived in Highgarden to take part in the prestigious tournament. His presence may hold the key to uncovering the truth behind Valter’s fate.
This season’s storyline invites you to explore a tale where celebration meets suspicion, and where love, legacy, and loss are tightly woven together. Step into the mystery and experience a brand-new questline set against the backdrop of Highgarden’s grandeur.
Going forward, seasonal content is planned to follow a regular release cycle of approximately 7 to 8 weeks. Each season will bring new adventures, challenges, and features to explore, and we hope you’ll continue to look forward to what’s next as the world of Kingsroad evolves. [/p][p][/p][h3]
🌍 2. World Level System[/h3][p]
To keep the open-world both challenging and engaging, we’re introducing a new
world level system. This new feature dynamically adjusts the difficulty across the game’s world by scaling monster strength and other content based on the set world level.
As the difficulty rises, so do the rewards, turning familiar territories into fresh battlegrounds with higher stakes and greater rewards. Whether you’re hunting for a tougher challenge or revisiting earlier zones with renewed intensity, the world level system is designed to make every adventure feel vibrant and rewarding.
This feature is scheduled to launch in an update shortly following the release of Season 2.[/p][p][/p][hr][/hr][p][/p][h2]

Game of Thrones: Kingsroad to life with greater depths and visual fidelity. This includes improvements to character models, animations, lighting, environmental detail, and visual effects. Our aim is to create a more immersive and atmospheric experience that better captures the tone and intensity of Westeros.
In addition to these visual upgrades, we’ll be reworking the prologue and tutorial sections more broadly. These early game areas will not only receive visual enhancements but also structural and narrative improvements. By refining the game’s pacing and overall presentation, we hope to deliver a more engaging introduction that sets the tone for your journey ahead, whether you’re a first-time player or returning veteran. ⚔️ 2. Combat Impact Improvements [/h3][p]
To heighten the sense of immersion in battle and better capture the brutal, unforgiving atmosphere of the original IP, we’re introducing new dismemberment effects that will trigger upon defeating enemies.
This visual addition is designed to reinforce the ruthless tone of the battlefields of Westeros, delivering an experience that goes beyond simple hit feedback. Our goal is to amplify the weight and intensity of combat, making each strike feel more grounded, visceral, and satisfying. We believe this improvement will deepen the overall immersion and bring the harsh realities of war in Westeros to life in a more impactful and authentic way.

🗡️ 3. Weapon Swap System [/h3][p]
To break away from repetitive combat patterns and add new layers of strategic depth, we’re currently developing a
weapon swap system that will allow players to switch weapons in real time during battle. This feature is designed to expand combat options and introduce dynamic new playstyles for each class. [/p][p]
For example, Assassins who typically rely on dual daggers will be able to incorporate rapier-based combat, while Knights who wield greatswords can switch to a sword-and-shield setup for more adaptive, defensive engagement. [/p][p]⚠️
Please note that the above weapon pairings may be subject to change as development progresses.
By enabling real-time weapon swapping, this system aims to disrupt static combat routines and maintain a higher level of player engagement throughout encounters.
Skill chaining, precise weapon transitions, and cooldown management will be increasingly important, with performance depending heavily on player mastery. We believe this will add meaningful depth to combat and allow skilled players to shine through refined decision-making and execution.
To support this system, an additional main weapon slot will be added, giving players more flexibility in building and customizing their loadouts. [/p][h3]
🔗 4. Enhanced Multiplayer Features[/h3][p]
While the game’s single-player narrative remains a core pillar, we’re expanding multiplayer functionality to encourage more meaningful player interaction across repeatable content, including existing field activities and instance dungeons. These updates aim to provide more opportunities for both cooperation and competition.
We’re also developing new alliance-based cooperative content where groups can compete for rankings, fostering long-term group play. In addition, more competitive PvE experiences are in the works, such as raid-style random coop encounters that will bring players together in real time, creating opportunities for memorable moments with others.
