Next Hotfix Details

[p]Hello Explorers![/p][p][/p][p]Thank you all for being patient with us as we work out the remaining launch issues. Below are the things still on our radar, and we're planning on fixing these in a patch within the very near future.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Graphics issues: we've confirmed and fixed the graphics with Radeon GPUs. If you run into other issues with specific hardware, let us know.[/p]
  • [p]Framerate/performance: the most recent hotfix addressed the slow-mo movement. Since this fix, some users have reported other hitching and stuttering issues most likely caused by that change. So that some users can re-enable the 'buttery smooth graphics (physics framerate synced to render framerate)', we will be adding an additional setting to the in-game Settings Menu that toggles the fix on and off according to your needs.[/p]
  • [p]Controller misalignment: this one is related to undetected hardware and mismatched controllers and headsets. For various reasons, that's on us, but a flurry of hardware orders and help from our friends at VR Monkey, we hope to have all this sorted out soon. Gratefully, community members have been patient and we were able to edit SteamVR bindings and offsets to 'fix' some of these cases. We're going to issue a permanent fix by updating the default developer bindings and offsets, and removing in-game hand alignment. This will likely break anyone using a custom bindings file (sorry), you'll just need to reactivate the default developer bindings and copy the offsets to realign your controllers.[/p]
  • [p]Potion shelves: we have reports of the potion shelf becoming unreliable after some dungeon runs. We're addressing this to make it more reliable.[/p]
  • [p]Boss tweaks: we will be making small adjustments to a few bosses for balancing purposes. [/p]
[p][/p][p]There's also a couple of rarer issues that we're going to take care of.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Account linking codes: some users get codes with 0s and Os and find it hard to tell apart. The same thing happens with Is, Ls and 1s, and this needs to be fixed. We already added greater leeway to the code timeout; the in-game text says 5 minutes, but it's internally 10.[/p]
  • [p]PSVR2 hardware: we have some PSVR2 kits and adapters coming in soon, and we'll get this officially supported with bindings and offsets.[/p]
  • [p]Potion prices/gold economy: we raised the prices of potions based on the idea that everyone had a lot of extra gold. This obviously missed the mark, and we're going to lower them again. Hazard missions will also give out more gold.[/p]
[p][/p][p]Heads up - for those players who did purchase the game again on Steam (THANK YOU!) and have linked their Quest accounts, know that your previously purchased DLC is brought over as well. As a thank you to these players, you also receive the Preorder DLC Armor when you link your accounts. Some players were not aware of this![/p][p][/p][p]We will need test cases for the controller and performance issues! If you have either of those two issues, please post specs/hardware/linking method/settings in the comments. For players who were able to find a workaround, please describe the steps you took. If it's still broken, please describe what you did to try to fix it.[/p][p][/p][p]Thank you![/p][p]Othergate Team[/p]
