Seafood Update

[/p][p][/p][p]Hope you're having a nice start to 2026! Today we're fleshing out a tag that has long needed some love.[/p][p]We've added 12 new Seafood ingredients, 4 of which are Wiggly in strange new ways![/p][p]
[/p][p]These are some of the silliest ingredients we've added yet and we're excited to see how you use them![/p][p][/p][p]Our composer, Gustaf Blix, added a few new musical tracks for our customers! If you hadn't noticed, each customer trait has a specific instrument they add to the music, and we're closer to each one being unique. You can now hover over customers in the catalogue to hear them![/p][p]
[/p][p]Principal Clucker now has a bit more variety in what he says after each run.[/p][p]
[/p][p]We've made some very significant balancing changes and overhauls to the following systems:[/p]

- [p]Tutorial and New Player Experience[/p]
- [p]12 new Seafood Ingredients[/p]
- [p]4 of which are new variants of Wiggly[/p]
- [p]Added new music to certain customer traits[/p]
- [p]Each customer trait (aside from 3 that'll come with 1.0) now has unique music[/p]
- [p]Hovering Customers in the Catalogue plays their music[/p]
- [p]New Seafood Crate art[/p]
- [p]Swapped position of Tin Can Trasher and Scoochie Special [/p]
- [p]cuz it has no Mythic + usually unlocked first[/p]
- [p]Reworked Principal Clucker quotes to be more variable, praise you on Endless defeat[/p]
- [p]Renamed Seaweed to Nori[/p]
- [p]Reworded Mr Kisser to say "can't lose pts AND Mult" for clarity[/p]
- [p]Reworked Aprons[/p]
- [p]Yellow now has a Helper limit[/p]
- [p]Blue now no longer provides free trashing (tho you can still pay $1 and get $1)[/p]
- [p]Red now only gives you a max of 1 Dispense from each shop[/p]
- [p]These changes are an attempt to make the difficulties a bit more distinct and make the game more difficult aside from just making numbers bigger.[/p]
- [p]The 1 Dispense limit is something we may reserve for Black Apron instead, but we wanted to test it before Black Apron. So please let us know how you feel about it![/p]
- [p]Overhauled ingredient unlock system[/p]
- [p]82 out of 140 ingredients begin locked[/p]
- [p]The main purpose of this overhaul was to ensure new chefs don't get presented with overly complex ingredients[/p]
- [p]As such, you may need to unlock ingredients you previously could use[/p]
- [p]Overhauled ingredient rarities[/p]
- [p]I won't go over every change but generally we wanted a more balanced distribution:[/p]
- [p]Common: 30 (previously 19)[/p]
- [p]Uncommon: 48 (previously 47)[/p]
- [p]Rare: 42 (previously 49)[/p]
- [p]Legendary: 23 (previously 25)[/p]
- [p]Wiggly ingredients can now become Haunted as well[/p]
- [p]Sticky ingredients now prevent Wiggly ingredients from triggering[/p]
- [p]Tweaked tutorial structure[/p]
- [p]Added Wiggly tutorial + changed Wiggly Catalogue tip[/p]
- [p]Secret Seasoning: 30% chance to Moldy (instead of 40%)[/p]
- [p]Pepper Jack: added Spicy tag[/p]
- [p]Fishbone: changed Processed to Raw tag[/p]
- [p]Cauliflower: changed to +4 pts per Meat touching, -6 pts per Veggie touching[/p]
- [p]Chicken Leg: changed to +1 pts per Meat on omelet, -1 pts per Veggie on omelet[/p]
- [p]also 2 per crate (instead of 1)[/p]
- [p]Corn: changed to +2 pts per Raw pointed at[/p]
- [p]Chocolate Cake: changed to +2 pts per Sweet pointed at[/p]
- [p]Pumpkin Pie: changed to +2 pts per Baked pointed at[/p]
- [p]Corn Dog: changed to +3 pts per Root/Veggie pointed at (instead of Root/Meat)[/p]
- [p]Steak: added +2 pts to each Root touching[/p]
- [p]Glazed Ham: added +2 pts to each Fruit touching[/p]
- [p]Both of the above changes should make these large Meats better in more situations[/p]
- [p]Turkey: +4 pts per Root touching (instead of +3)[/p]
- [p]Grape: +6 pts (instead of +5)[/p]
- [p]Stix: +5 pts (instead of +4)[/p]
- [p]Sausage: +3 pts per Veggie touching (instead of +2)[/p]
- [p]Cheese Wheel: +0.3x to touching ingredients (instead of +0.2x)[/p]
- [p]Parmesan: +0.2x to each ingredient pointed at (instead of +0.3x)[/p]
- [p]This has been an auto-pick ingredient so we wanted to reduce the power level slightly[/p]
- [p]Carrot: changed to +$0.25 per distinct ingredient pointed at[/p]
- [p]Green Onion: changed to +$0.25 per distinct ingredient touching this[/p]
- [p]These Roots have vastly outclassed others and are universally good. Again, we wanted to nerf them a tad to increase the comparative value of others[/p]
- [p]Garlic: changed to +$0.25 per 2 distinct ingredients on omelet (instead of per 1)[/p]
- [p]With the changes to Carrot/Green Onion, old Garlic would've been better in all situations so it also needed to be adjusted[/p]
- [p]Hopefully fixed bug where shop wouldn't reset sometimes[/p]
- [p]Please send your Player.log and screenshot if it happens, I've been unable to reproduce this[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where ingredients could spontaneously lose/gain tags if they were a clone[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where Endless scores could be submitted to non-Endless leaderboards[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where Sir Pecks-a-Lot lost his top hat drip[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where Customer Catalogue could have translated strings when it shouldn't[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where scroll wheel didn't work in Catalogue[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where sometimes Aprons didn't unlock when they should[/p]
- [p]Fixed bug where ingredients could escape from trash conveyor belt through clever exploitation[/p]

- [p]Fixed bug where Wiggly ingredients could keep wiggling on saved omelets[/p]
