Lunar New Year Update

[p]Hello chefs![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Thank you so much for helping make our 1.0 launch a huge success! Hjalte and I are incredibly grateful to all the chefs who've played the game, left reviews, and gave us feedback on what you love and what you want to see improved.[/p][p][/p][p]We're thrilled to announce that in the week since the 1.0 launch, we've sold over 37,000 copies of Omelet You Cook! In the 7 months of Early Access we were thrilled to reach 14,000 copies sold, so this has really blown away our highest expectations![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Originally we planned to take a small break after fixing high priority bugs but seeing all the positive feedback coming in from new chefs who are genuinely enjoying our little game motivated us to squeeze in one small update as a way to show our appreciation![/p][p][/p][p]The majority of new chefs are playing in a language other than English so we asked our translators to suggest some of their favorite ingredients for us to include in this update. We'll keep adding new ingredients over time, so please let us know what you'd like to see included in future updates![/p][p][/p][p]Introducing 4 new ingredients with some unique new mechanics:[/p][p][/p][p]4 new helpers that add ingredient tags or have a random chance of giving Mult:[/p][p][/p][p]and 2 new customers![/p][p][/p][p]There's also a fun new weekly pantry featuring some of the new content![/p][p][/p][p]We've also been hard at work fixing bugs and tweaking the experience based on your feedback. So please, keep letting us know what you love, what frustrates you, and what you want to see more of![/p][p][/p][p]We can't say thank you enough to all the chefs who've given this game a chance. Your support means we can keep doing what we love, and right now we really love working on Omelet You Cook![/p][p][/p][p]Happy cooking,[/p][p]-Chef Schu[/p][p][/p]
v1.0.3 Patch Notes

Content
• [p]4 new ingredients[/p]
• [p]4 new helpers[/p]
• [p]2 new customers[/p]
Balance
• [p]Wrapped ingredients now burn twice as fast[/p]
• [p]Jackfruit gives +4pts per distinct touching (instead of +2)[/p]
• [p]hopefully this is a bit more befitting of a Legendary now[/p]
• [p]Sticky pantry starts with 12 grapes (instead of 8)[/p]
• [p]With this pantry, one thing I want to test is whether it's interesting to start with a lot of an ingredient that's good once and then becomes dead weight[/p]
• [p]In general the 3 newest pantries are relatively untested and may be changed further. Please let us know what you think of them![/p]
• [p]Nerfed Maggi (Minimalist + Shrinker + Decisive instead of Minimalist + Hungry + Decisive)[/p]
• [p]Minimalist will no longer appear in the first 8 rounds (instead of 2)[/p]
• [p]We've been hearing that Minimalist feels too punishing. We're hoping that nerfing Maggi (the biggest culprit) and guaranteeing they don't appear until late in runs helps negate how punishing they feel. We'll continue to listen and see if we need further adjustments[/p]
• [p]Carnivore and Vegetarian will no longer appear in the first 5 rounds (instead of 2)[/p]
• [p]Union Delegate and Loan Shark can no longer appear from taking random helper[/p]
• [p]Going forward, unfireable helpers will be excluded from random selections with the exception of Severance Package because it's dope[/p]
• [p]Wannabe DJ will no longer appear in Round 16+ for performance purposes[/p]
• [p]Raw Seaweed is Uncommon (instead of Common)[/p]
• [p]it just feels more Uncommony, right?[/p]
• [p]Chefs can no longer attempt the Weekly if they haven't unlocked the appropriate Apron[/p]
• [p]However, you still don't need to have all the ingredients of the Weekly unlocked[/p]
Quality of Life
• [p]Added 4k screen resolution support[/p]
• [p]Sped up scene transition visual[/p]
• [p]We've been getting some reports that the transition has been straining on the eye. Hopefully simply speeding it up improves it, but please let us know if you're still experiencing this.[/p]
Bug Fixes
• [p]Fixed huge lag spike during omelet selection[/p]
• [p]To fix this, we had to remove the text showing the number of chefs on the leaderboard. Later we'll see if we can find a way to reintroduce this but the only easy way to get the number is to basically load all 10,000+ entries which caused the lag spike.[/p]
• [p]Sorry, we didn't expect to have so many chefs in the first week![/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where tooltips were cut off on Steam Deck[/p]
• [p]Adjusted tooltips to always fit 9 on screen[/p]
• [p]soon we'll overhaul this to support greater than 9 (and improve the visuals a bit)[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where chefs could steal multiple ingredients by dragging an ingredient to push 2 other ingredients on the conveyor together and then quickly push them both off the conveyor[/p]
• [p]To resolve this, ingredients on the conveyor no longer have collision[/p]
• [p]Fixed the "Chef" achievements for completing a pantry with all aprons (except Black)[/p]
• [p]You'll need to win any run to trigger your missing achievements[/p]
• [p]Fixed Mystery Meat unlock achievement[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where Final Exam achievement didn't always trigger[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where Known to All achievement didn't trigger if you hadn't served all the \[REDACTED][/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where Click-Drop input method was reset on non-English languages on reload[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where clicking while pause/feedback menu is open advanced tutorial[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where losing in endless after reloading wouldn't unlock next pantry[/p]
• [p]Fixed bug where dragging an ingredient that unwraps into new ingredient (Stix, Baby Carrots) would leave the cursor stuck in the "grabbed" state[/p]
• [p]Fixed Weekly Run text appearing Spongebobified[/p]
• [p]Fixed incorrect tooltip appearing on Trash Skip button[/p]
• [p]Fixed rendering order issue in final pantry[/p]
• [p]Fixed typos[/p]
