New Trailer & Coming to the Steam Next Fest!

During today’s PC Gaming Show livestream, we unveiled a brand-new trailer, and we're proud to announce our participation in the Steam Next Fest with this new demo![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Watch the trailer:[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]This new demo lets you build the first 12 layers of your haven tower from the ground up. Brave extreme weather like sandstorms, fog, and heavy rain to harness unique skyborne resources, unlock advanced construction technologies, and develop vertical logistics systems. Protect your towertizens, rediscover ancient civilizations, and push the limits of vertical expansion.[/p][p][/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]The updated demo is estimated to have 2 to 3 (or more) hours of playtime. It expands on our core vertical building mechanics by introducing the new horizontal expanding Brace Technology, which reinforces structural stability while allowing for more flexible and expansive skyward designs. Demo Update on Jun 6 & Save Data Notice

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]We are rolling out a major update for the demo of our game, STARIO: the Heaven Tower, on June 6![/p][p][/p][p]In this new version, the lockable tower layers will increase from 8 to 12 floors, and we’re introducing a brand-new brace technology - a key tech to strengthen tower stability and expand your structures horizontally, for more creative freedom to build your unique sky-high architecture.[/p][p][/p][p]We've also made improvements to citizen needs, upgraded tower-building animations, and added clearer tutorials—all designed to make your skyword journey more engaging and rewarding![/p][p][/p][p]Try out the demo on Steam! [/p][p]https://store.steampowered.com/app/3387080/_Demo/[/p][h2]Save Files Compatibility & Legacy Branch Access[/h2][p]Since the new patch brings significant changes to core gameplay mechanics (we have reworked the whole buff system by the way), please note that the existing save files will not be compatible with the new version.[/p][p][/p][p]As a simulation game that heavily involves resource management, updates to the balancing system—especially the rework of various stats—are a key part of refining the player experience and enhancing the flow of tower construction.[/p][p][/p][p]We strongly recommend starting fresh with the new version to enjoy all improvements. However, for players who wish to continue their previous save files, we’ll open a temporary legacy branch after the new update. This will allow you to switch back and continue building your tower up to floor 12 in the older version:[/p]

  • [p] Housing Upgrade System: When Spirit conditions are met, Huts can automatically upgrade into Brick Houses, increasing living space and work range.

  • [p] Some buildings now require ongoing item consumption to maintain their bonus effects (e.g., Greenhouse consumes Water).[/p]
  • [p] Added tutorial guidance for Build Menu, Demolition Tool, Brace Tool, Housing Upgrade, Stability Mode, and Single-layer Display Mode.[/p]

  • [p] Small Balloon Station can now transport two types of items.[/p]
  • [p] During disasters, no new Towertizens will arrive, and certain items will be consumed faster.[/p]
  • [p] Visual effects for Mist disasters have been improved.[/p]
  • [p] Plantations and Farms now occupy 3 height units.[/p]
  • [p] Adjusted Towertizen model scale – now about 3 meters tall (down from 5 meters).[/p]
  • [p] Research speed has been adjusted.[/p]

Hey Towertizens, Big thanks for all your awesome support and feedback. In this update, we've squashed some bugs and added a few helpful tweaks. Wish you keep enjoying your sky-high tower journey!

  • Replaced English font to improve legibility at smaller sizes.
  • Added tutorial hint for planting cactus in Shrub Gardens.
  • When setting items for storage buildings or balloon stations, only unlocked items will now appear in the list.
  • Added a warning when constructing Jellyfish Bay: replaced tower layers will lose their bonuses.
  • Added feedback buttons to the pause menu.

  • Fixed a bug where removing ghosted buildings could cause tower layers to overlap with Jellyfish Bay.
