Tower Life: FAQ!

[p]Hi everyone![/p][p][/p][p]STARIO is participating in the Ancient Costume Game Fest! You may find more info here: https://store.steampowered.com/sale/ancientcostumegamefestival[/p][p][/p][p]Also, we’ve gathered some common player questions to make your tower-building smoother![/p][p]Let’s start with a handy tip![/p][p][/p]
⚙️ Settings & Options

How to change the UI font size?
[p]Go to Options → Graphic → UI Scale Multiplier to adjust the overall size of the game interface. Make it as comfy for your eyes as you like 👀.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
How to limit the frame rate?
[p]You can find the Max Frame Rate option under Options → Graphic, which controls how many frames per second the game renders.(V-Sync is enabled by default — you’ll need to turn it off first before you can adjust the maximum frame rate!)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]💡 For example:[/p][p]If you set the limit to 60 FPS, the game will render no more than 60 frames per second.[/p][p]⚠️ Tip: Don’t set the frame rate higher than your monitor’s refresh rate — your GPU will just be working overtime for no reason![/p][p]🌟 Benefits of capping your frame rate:[/p][p]✅ Reduces GPU load and prevents overheating or fan noise[/p][p]✅ Stabilizes performance and smooths out frame drops[/p][p]✅ Saves power (and keeps your fans from sounding like they’re about to take off ✈️)[/p][p][/p]
How to remap the controls?
[p]Go to Options → Input to open the keybinding menu.[/p][p]🎮 You can change the layout, adjust camera sensitivity, and set everything up exactly how you like it![/p][p][/p]
💾 Save Files
[p]📂 To open your save folder:[/p][p]Launch the game → Click “Load” → Click “Open Save Folder” →[/p][p]Then click the “⬆” arrow at the top of the folder window to go one level up.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🏆 Achievements

How do I check achievement progress?
[p]Press ESC → Achievements to see your current progress.[/p][p][/p][p]Hover over an achievement for more details — for example, hovering over “Ninety-Nine Souls” will show your current highest population 👥.[/p][p][/p]
“Soaring Ascent”
[p]Clear the game within 9 in-game hours (not real-world time!! ⏰).[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
“Ninety-Nine Souls”
[p]Complete the game with your total population never exceeding 99.[/p][p][/p][p][/p]
🏗️ Gameplay Mechanics

Stability and Durability
[p]Buildings with higher Stability wear down more slowly, but ⚠️ even the sturdiest structures won’t last forever! Keep some Repair Kits 🧰 handy nearby — just in case.[/p][p]As the game progresses, Disasters become stronger, and structures will deteriorate faster during Disasters.[/p][p][/p]
White Noise & Touching Lightning (and other Wishes like these)
[p]They only take effect if the required facility exists on the same tower layer as the residence, not merely within its influence range ⚡.[/p][p][/p]
