Cleaning Up The Market A Bit
Hey! I'm still here jammin' away every day, in one aspect or another!
You may have noticed awhile back that somehow all the items became messed up and variants became created. That was and is still pretty frustrating to look at, but they are still items and we will fix them or make a system to convert them back into marketable versions, but there are not supposed to be more than 1 listing of each item anyway so at least temporarily, everything up to (ironically) "Steamy" was broken.
The tags are not on the items themselves, they were on the item generator and apparently those tags get sent into the item descriptions of what it generates, and the tags were there since the beginning but were not visible because I had not set up the inventory sorting / localization stuff, the moment I did that everything went haywire.
Just removing marketability of them, they are still tradeable, it's just the descriptions that got messed up.
I have not missed a day creating new items though, and there should be enough still left in the market so there is something to look at, it's not the end of the world here just letting you all know what I am trying here. I am not abandoning the designs, we are just sort of shelving them for a sec. When we have a solution it's just going to be a 1 for 1 swap to get back into a marketable version, ideally.
I recommend stacking them, they actually stack to the different versions really neat-and-tidy-like.

^ this is the script that everyone on Steam uses to stack items with. it works great, if you are not familiar with it, it requires using an API key and the google chrome web console. It's only for stacking and unstacking items, I'll have these types of features in the game itself at some point. You can also just transfer the items to an alt account to clean up in the meantime.
The game gives a lot of items so it's almost necessary, I literally just got stunned when the items split all apart like that so this is a way to at least have a super clean experience for all new players who are seeing my insane wall of videos on Bluesky, then looking at the actual game itself and --- it's pretty much a mess --- yea.., but I plan on working at this project forever so I just want things to be as clean and tidy as possible! Please just stack up the old ones and we will deal with them later so I can focus on actually learning how the editor works instead of how to solve this bizarre problem. So glad they were all free items, people would be so mad if they had to buy all those! The 1st DLC set got roasted too, but again it's just a temporary solution as different versions of these items are ridiculous to be on the market.
Just like I even said in the banjo song on the store page I didn't want anything to be broken, and then immediately the whole market like explodes, but I can count 25 items since then so the market will hopefully function just as well as it did the day everything broke in the first place.
Anyways thanks for hanging out with me and my bizarre Steam game adventure, Season 1 sure has been an adventure for me and I'm looking forward to iterate on what have going on so far. I know it doesn't really make a lot of sense, but I think it's going pretty well. If it wasn't for the item description disaster I'd say things were going perfect.
It may take a bit for the changes to completely take effect, don't buy anything thinking it's a last minute chance to get one, they are plentiful it's just different versions of the same items appeared.
