The Maxwell Character Refresh is coming next week, Tuesday November 22nd at 10am pacific time.

Highlights:

• Codex Umbra is now a spell book that feeds off of Sanity and Nightmare Fuel only.
• Added a spell wheel UI for reading the Codex Umbra in your inventory.
• Maxwell now summons the following shadow puppets:
  • Shadow Servant
  • Shadow Duelist
• These improved puppets automatically aggro or work within their summoned radius for a set duration before expiring.
• Equipping shadowy equipment will increase the power of Shadow Duelists.
• Maxwell now controls up to six puppets at a time.
• Maxwell now summons the following crowd control shadows:
  • Shadow Sneak
  • Shadow Prison
• All shadows can be summoned on the ocean.
• Maxwell can craft the Magician's Top Hat and Magician’s Box.
• Magician's Top Hat, Magician's Box, and Shadow Chester are all connected to one shadow dimensional storage in the Forest, and another one while in the Caves.

Thanks to everybody for all the feedback and bug reports during the beta period. We're still watching so keep it coming!

As always, this update will also bring a new animated short, as well as many bug fixes and balance changes, and a new streaming item "The Eclectic Glowcap" as well.

Hallowed Nights Returns!

Players on Steam, Xbox and PlayStation can once again discover tricks and treats around The Constant. Fill your candy bag to the brim and satisfy your sweet tooth with all sorts of sugary seasonal treats!

For Nintendo Switch players, you will not have this update right away but it's coming in the next update (See this post for details). You will however be still able to participate in the following right away!

Free spooky costumes are also available to everybody for a limited time, so enjoy them before the event ends and they go back from whence they came!

That's not all. During Hallowed Nights, logging in for the first time will earn you a "Trick or Treat Chest" containing one of 18 costume sets. Items from the Hallowed Nights Collection and Costume Collection will have increased drop rates for the duration of the event!

The Annual Klei Halloween Costume and Fan Art Submission Event is coming October 27th and will run through November 1st. If you haven't seen this event before, check out our submissions for 2021 and 2020!

Participants will receive a full character costume skin set, so you won't want to miss out!
