Added Offline Single Player Mode, a New Mission, and More

Patch Notes: Version 0.1.1.0
Added Offline Single Player Mode
Players can now enjoy Deadzone's single-player mode offline, without an internet connection! This was our top requested feature, and the #1 priority for our team to deliver this week. We really wanted to address this for the community ASAP, and hope you can enjoy the improved experience this weekend!

Note: This is a large change for our back-end systems. We expect performance to be stable after internal testing, but will monitor the patch to make sure it acts as expected. Co-op mode will also still require an online connection, so players can share the same game experience in real time.
Added a new mission, Uniform Chaos II
In this mission, each room randomly spawns a horde of the same type of enemies to defeat. This approach builds on the Uniform Chaos I mission, and offers an even deeper level of enemy variety and challenge for experienced players. This mission can be found in Zone 2, we hope you enjoy it!
Balance Improvements
Bots
- Replaced the Laser Crawler in Headhunter Mission with Nyxis.

Weapons
- Dual SMGS: Reduced Spread by 20%, and doubled proc rate

General Gameplay

- Updated the respawn system in co-op mode
- When a player dies in co-op, they will now respawn at the exit doors.
- Implemented several safety checks to ensure players will respawn after an encounter.
- Exit doors will now automatically open after 10 seconds.

- Players can only quick melee/lunge once while in the air.
- Added a new description tag for Experimental weapons.
- Lowered the sounds for crit hit and headshots.
Fixes
- Fixed more soft lock issues with Zone 2.
- Fixed an issue where lightning barrels would instantly kill players in the Headhunter mission.
- Fixed an issue where when player took self-damage or damage from DOTs, hit feedback indicators would always be oriented towards the origin.
- Fixed an issue where joining players in coop would see Singularity disappear slightly before it had actually expired.
- Fixed an issue where when using the Dual SMGs, the player's shoulders would clip through their body.
- Fixed an issue where pet bots would not respawn in co-op after their owner respawned.
- Fixed an issue where in co-op, if a player with ammo enhancements drops a weapon, the weapon will retain its ammo stack from the original owner.
- Fixed an issue where the Zone 1 boss could be meleed while its shield was up.
- Fixed an issue where reloads would not be paused if the player was frozen.
- Fixed an issue where bosses would not properly focus players as their main priority.
- Fixed an issue where the Elemental Siege Construct's projectile was disappearing prematurely.
- Fixed an issue where Spider bots had some trouble attacking players on top of boxes.

We wanted to get something special out for everyone to enjoy this weekend, good luck and have fun! We're all tired after a long week (we've pushed a patch or two every day since the launch), but it's been worth it and so exciting to see the game growing to nearly 100,000 players so quickly.

Thanks again to everyone for taking the leap into early access with us, and wishing you all the best!

Offline Single Player Mode Will Be Available for Deadzone ASAP

All,

The momentum around Early Access has been amazing! Since yesterday’s launch, over 30,000 players have jumped in, and the feedback has been super helpful. Thanks everybody!

The most-requested feature so far is offline single-player mode, so we’re making it a top priority. You’ll be able to play Deadzone Rogue offline in single-player mode ASAP — we’re aiming to have a patch out and live as quickly as possible.

We’re also sorry if it wasn’t clear that an online connection was required. We’ve updated our Steam page System Requirements with this info for now. (Co-op mode will still require online play, so everyone can share the same game experience in real time)

Thanks again for your support, it’s been so exciting to see so many players enjoying Deadzone! In the meantime, keep the bug reports and feedback coming through Steam reviews or Discord in our #feedback channel (discord.gg/deadzonerogue). Let's make this the best game possible!

Good luck, have fun!

Patch notes - Version 0.1.0.6

Thanks everyone for your feedback as part of early access! This patch fixes several of the most important and frequent bugs reported so far, fixes are listed below:

Loot
- Removed physic bounces from loot orbs. They will now spawn static as to not cause problems like falling into pits of despair.

- In co-op, loot orbs will now only be visible to their owner.

- Fixed several issues with loot orbs where they would spawn in the following room, causing a soft lock.

- Fixed an issue in Pinpoint where no loot drops would spawn.

Items
- Sparkplug now reloads at least one bullet at minimum.

Bots
- Fixed an issue where the Man-Spider and Zone 2 boss effects were getting stuck on indefinitely.

Miscellaneous
- Fixed several typos in several descriptions and voice line subtitles.

Appreciate everyone's support, and if you see more bugs or have feedback, let us know anytime in the Discord (discord.gg/deadzonerogue) in the #feedback channel! Good luck, have fun.

Deadzone is a roguelite FPS set in deep space - this release includes 30+ unique weapons, 100+ items and augments, and multiple elements that you can mix to create fun new builds for each run.

Early access has two full Chapters (Zones 1 and 2), with a third Chapter planned for later. There are dozens of enemy types, several powerful bosses with unique art and combat mechanics, and a range of environments to explore and master.

Deadzone: Rogue can be played solo or co-op, with difficulties ranging from adventure to nightmare. The full game price is $24.99, but will be $19.99 until May 13 (20% off for a limited time). For players outside the US, prices for each country are live on Steam, and adjusted for market rates.

A third chapter is planned to come in the next few months, and we'll keep making updates to improve the game in the meantime, so let us know any feedback you have in the Discord (discord.gg/deadzonerogue) or in the Steam reviews!

With this release, we'll build on momentum from the demo (90%+ positive reviews), along with over 150,000 wishlists pre-launch. Thanks again to everyone for your support, it means a lot! Our team's put a lot of heart and effort into this game and we're so excited to share it with you, and hope you enjoy it!
