The Bleakest Keep: Small Changes

  • [p]Arachne's attacks can now destroy the columns.[/p]
  • [p]Increased werewolf head hitbox.[/p]
  • [p]Increased Cormac head hitbox.[/p]
  • [p]King Eadgar should not attack at a distance as often as he was.[/p]
  • [p]Quick Hands perk now mentions it increases your bow's reload time.[/p]
  • [p]After 3 game overs a sign will appear at the start of the run. Reading it will give a few helpful reminders.[/p]

  • [p]Moved a few misplaced barrels.[/p]
  • [p]The intro cutscene should hopefully not drop frame rates as much.[/p]

  • [p]One of the hidden coins had a duplicate coin of the same value nearby, which could cause confusion on how many coins were destroyed. This duplicate coin is no longer a problem.[/p]

The Bleakest Keep Game Update: Balance Changes and Optimization

[p]I hope you're all enjoying The Bleakest Keep![/p][p][/p][p]The game is pretty challenging, but I am making a few changes to make some things a little easier. This update also includes some bug fixes and optimization.[/p][p][/p][p]Changes[/p]
  • [p]Once you reach level 3, healing and healing potions will now only become 2.5x more expensive instead of 3x more.[/p]
  • [p]If you pick up a weapon when low on that weapon's total type of ammo, you will be given a little bit of ammo when you pick up the weapon. Only applies to projectile, regular, and heavy weapons.[/p]
  • [p]The Healing Revolver is now more durable.[/p]
  • [p]One of Arachne's attacks has been slowed down.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the amount of level 3 enemies.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted the amount of level 4 enemies.[/p]
  • [p]Armored shotgun zombies now only deal 10 HP of damage instead of 20 HP of damage with their shotgun.[/p]
  • [p]Werewolves now resist less damage while howling.[/p]
  • [p]Fire will now only deal 1 HP of damage when you land on top of it after being knocked back.[/p]
  • [p]Adjusted speed potion so it should be easier to control where you're moving while using multiple speed potions.[/p]
[p]Bug Fixes[/p]
  • [p]Level 3 should be much more optimized now. If you're frame rate was much lower during this level compared to the others, you should notice the improvement.[/p]
  • [p]Melee attacks not resetting while using the hold to attack option should be fixed.[/p]
  • [p]The Frying Pan should now be effective towards the armored shotgun zombies.[/p]
  • [p]Vampire and werewolf eyes now change once defeated.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed the tricky knife description incorrectly saying "active" when "activate" should be used.[/p]

The Bleakest Keep - Pause Fix and Other Small Bugs

[p]Sorry for the pretty annoying bugs involving inputs.[/p][p][/p][p]This latest patch should finally fix these issues. Please let me know if any of these problems remain.[/p][p][/p]
  • [p]Fixed getting stuck when asked if you want to pick up a weapon or not.[/p]
  • [p]Fixed not being able to pause the game[/p]
  • [p]Fixed rocket launcher not destroying the hidden coins.[/p]
  • [p](Already fixed in last patch but rebinding keyboard controls correctly updates again.)[/p]
  • [p]Changed King Eadgar so he doesn't jump back as often.[/p]
[p][/p][p]If you're running into any cpu heating issues, I recommend locking your frame rate.[/p][p][/p][p]Hopefully this should fix some of the problems![/p]
