DEMO PATCH NOTES
• Bubsy 3D's face is now capable of blinking. We have the technology.
 • Bubsy 3D's texture no longers becomes nightmare fuel on low quality settings.
 • Bubsy isn't as obsessed about how Woolie's smell anymore.
 • Dropdown's in the settings don't have an existential crisis anymore.
 • Removed language options until Bubsy learns how to speak anything other than English.
 • Brought back framerate settings so you can ogle at Bubsy 120 times per second.
 • The "Cutscene Skip" toggle no longer prevents you from entering the VR menu. No more excuses, get in the robot Bubsy!
 • Added a climbable grid on both sides of the building at the end of "Heartfelt Village" so you don't regret your life choices more than usual.
 • We had a talk with the camera man and he promised the camera should now glitch less when hopping around as a hairball and with certain slanted geometry. If it still does, blame him and not us.
 • The camera man also told us he'll obey the laws of physics and clip into objects like the felt houses less, which is nice.
 • If you're Bubsy look away: Added a new unique death when getting flattened by spiky cars.
 • Told the total timer to take up less space and long leaderboard names to abide to its confines. Cheeky things.

Thank you everyone for the incredible feedback so far! We're delighted to see everyone loving the demo so much!

Cheers,
Fabraz

I tried the Bubsy 4D demo, and it spits on the series legacy by actually being pretty good

Polite society buried a lot of platformer mascots as we exited the 90s, but something Bubsy had over contemporaries like Gex and Croc (it's a crock of something, alright!) is that his games were astoundingly, memorably dreadful. Bubsy is the best evidence we have that all publicity is good publicity, because he's still getting games in big 2025, which is something we can't say for competent has-beens like Dynamite Headdy...

The New Voice of Bubsy w/ Sean Chiplock

[p][/p][previewyoutube][/previewyoutube][p][/p][p]Mascot platformers can be defined by their voice performers. Charles Martinet as Mario and Roger Craig Smith as Sonic, to name the two most prolific examples. From the first sound bites of Sean Chiplock as our wise-cracking feline hero, it was immediately clear that he was our Bubsy; The near-universally positive response since the announcement further punctuated that feeling. So to round out our streak of Bubsy podcasts, Sean was gracious enough to join me and Sam Brown (Atari Release Manager and Producer on Bubsy 4D) to talk about his journey to becoming a voice actor and what it was like to step into the role of our (in)famous Bobcat.
