Devlog #7 📚 Arts and Crafts

[p][/p][p][/p][p]Hi.[/p][p][/p][p]In case you just stumbled upon this devlog, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I am the creator of timeloop RPG In Stars and Time, and now am working on my next game, memory visual novel Truth Scrapper. It’s gonna be a good one.[/p][p]This month, I did a couple rewrites and did some arts and crafts.[/p][p]
[/p][p]I might've mentioned this before, but Truth Scrapper has been interesting in that I keep rewriting old stuff. I didn’t feel super satisfied with how the mystery was unfolding, so I did some rewrites to make it more clear, and foreshadow things both more and less, and changed the pacing… I feel more confident about it now, but rewrites. They Will Happen Again[/p][p]To help, I’ve been watching Jane Kalmes videos after a friend recommended them. Jane Kalmes is a writer of cozy mysteries and has many videos on how to write one! It was very useful, so if you’re writing a mystery, I recommend them![/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]What else. Uuum. I might’ve also mentioned it, (I needed to make them irl. Yippee[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Two urn-things. What could they be for…?[/p][p]I’ve been doing some various arts and crafts to make them, which has been fun. Art-wise, I feel like I’ve been challenging myself to try some new art forms for this game… Yippee…[/p][p]Speaking of arts and crafts, I also did this.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Photocards of my girls… I saw those photocard holders at Toronto’s Artist Alley and couldn’t resist.[/p][p][/p][p]And finally, since I implemented day 5, and finished my rewrites, I’m taking some producer-enforced rest. Which I immediately stopped to work on a Cool Project that is unrelated to Truth Scrapper!!!! LISTEN I LOV WORKING ON THINGS OK. anyway the Cool Project should be out before the year is over so you should follow my newsletter if you wanna see it[/p][p][/p][p](reads the previous devlog) i sure said I would show more Amour this devlog. ok. um. rhhnrl. (all the images are spoilers) uuurghhr. oh i know. have a sprite from back when i was trying to make the expressions/talking (you can tell because the dialogue is my placeholder "im fucken talking dude!!!!". you are, Amour. you are)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]Ok thats all[/p][p][/p][p]DON'T FORGET TO WISHLIST THE GAME ALSO IT REALLY HELPS BECAUSE STEAM’S ALGORITHM IS MORE LIKELY TO SHOW OFF GAMES WITH A HIGH AMOUNT OF WISHLISTS THATS THE REASON WHY GAME DEVS ALWAYS ASK TO WISHLIST!!!
