Devlog #10 📚 Milestone

[p]Hi. I’m back [/p][p]In case you just stumbled upon this devlog, I am Adrienne, also known as insertdisc5! I am the creator of timeloop RPG In Stars and Time, and now am working on my next game, memory visual novel Truth Scrapper. It’s gonna be a good one.[/p][p]In the last two months, I finished implementing Day 6 and Day 7 for Betz’s path![/p][p]
[/p][h2]📚 “WHY DIDN’T YOU GIVE US A DEVLOG LAST MONTH I NEEDED MY DOSE :(“[/h2][p]I was just a tiny bit burnt out (winks cutely.) who knew self imposed deadlines could stress you out so much. so to remove stuff from my plate, I skipped the devlog. Sorry. But this also means: BIGGER DEVLOG NOW!!! (and also im on break now so im ok [/p][h2]📚 “YIPPEE!!! OK PLEASE CONTINUE”[/h2][p]Thanks! Alright what did I do in February and March[/p][p]I finished implementing Day 6 and Day 7 for Betz’s end! Fully! Art and all! It’s all there!!! I’m free now. I can now take a break for a bit before I start on Amour’s end![/p][p]I already made a devlog about implementing, so I won’t repeat myself. Just know Betz’s end is very very very good ok[/p][p](Betz seeing a spider or something)[/p][p][/p][p]We are also preparing for the demo release! Sorry but it won’t be for a couple of months still. My god I first mentioned the demo back in August. I’m so sorry you have to wait still. Which means it’s time for a learning moment for why you have to wait because I didn’t know that stuff either before making games![/p][p][/p][h2]📚 WHY YOU GOTTA WAIT A BIT LONGER FOR THE DEMO EVEN THOUGH IT’S 95% DONE[/h2][p]Ok so. Obviously, releasing a demo for a game is a Big Deal. It’s one of those things we call a Big Marketing Beat, kind of on the same level as “announcing a game”, “announcing a release date”, “showing a real cool trailer”, or “releasing the game”. Stuff you want to make sure people know about.[/p][p]So to make sure people know about those Big Marketing Beats, they should be part of a Marketing Push, which can be “emailing 100 journalists”, “emailing 50000000 streamers”, “be part of an IRL convention”, or “be part of an online showcase”. Hopefully it can be all of those![/p][p]So, yes, the demo is pretty much done and has been for a while. But if we release it just like that, out of nowhere, the chances of it taking off and being shared are gonna be pretty low. But, if we release it as part of an online showcase, for example, that means we can also email journalists about it, let streamers know, and make sure the whole world knows about The Truth Scrapper Lesbians…!!![/p][p]So what I mean is we’re applying to online showcases and the demo will be out in the next couple months hopefully. Hopefully… Hopefully…!!!!! Thank you for waiting.[/p][p][/p][p][/p][h2] 📚 OPTIONS MENU LOOKS COOL NOW[/h2][p]In other news, with the help of Truth Scrapper’s additional programmer Feniks, I finally fixed up the Options menu…!!!! I am so happy. This looks so good. I have been wanting to do this for months. (Old one first, new one second!)[/p][p][/p][p][/p][p]
[/p][p]Since I added tabs, it means I can add a lot more options, so you can really fine tune your gaming experience. Like skipping pauses if you don’t like dramatic pauses. But who doesn’t like them tbh[/p][p][/p][h2]
📚 PLAYTESTING WITH FRIENDS![/h2][p]And then, lastly, I’ve been playing through the game with some friends, and they really like it so far… I’m so happy. They’ve also given me a lot of really good feedback, so I am really thankful.
