Steam Awards 2025: Toward Indie Miracle 2.0

[p]The nomination phase of the Steam Awards has begun. If you feel that A Game About Digging A Hole fits the “Sit Back and Relax” category, you can cast your vote directly at the top.[/p][p]Many of you have described digging as almost meditative - a game that slows everything down and simply feels good. That’s why we believe this category is the right one for our little project.[/p][p][/p]
Indie Miracle 1.0 – and maybe now 2.0
[p]Reaching over 1.2 million players was a real indie miracle for us.
A spontaneous idea turned into a journey we never expected.[/p][p]Now the question is: Can we achieve an Indie Miracle 2.0 together, a strong placement in the awards, carried by the very community that brought this project this far?[/p][p][/p]
Two simple things help us a lot
1. [p]Your vote in the “Sit Back and Relax” category[/p]
 2. [p]A like on this News post, so more players get to see it[/p]
[p]Both actions directly help keep the game visible during the nomination phase.[/p][p][/p]
And yes - we know what many of you would ask
[p]It’s no secret that some of you would like to talk about more content or even a sequel. That means a lot to us, and we read everything you write.[/p][p]But today is not the right moment for that.[/p][p]December is already packed: On December 7, A Game About Digging A Hole will launch on consoles - a big milestone for us. And on that same day, we have a small additional surprise prepared.[/p][p]Nothing big, no sequel but something nice that fits well with this unusual journey.[/p][p]We’ll talk about it in more detail soon, just not today.[/p]

🎮 AGADAH - Coming to Consoles on December 9
A Game About Digging a Hole – coming to consoles on December 9!
[p]Sometimes a small project grows into something far bigger than you ever imagined. A Game About Digging a Hole™ started exactly like that: a simple, quirky idea about digging. And suddenly, people all over the world were digging their own holes, sharing clips, creating theories, and turning the game into a viral moment.[/p][p][/p]
Ah Yes, the Copycats 😏

[p]As the community grew, something unexpected happened: copycats began popping up everywhere. Especially on mobile, and even on some consoles, games appeared that copied our concept almost 1:1. Not “inspired by” - straight-up copied. It felt strange at first: confusing, flattering, occasionally frustrating… but mostly a sign of how much your enthusiasm pushed the original into the spotlight.[/p][p][/p][p]And that’s why we’re especially happy to finally take the next big step:[/p]
Launching December 9 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch!
[p]The original is now coming to all major consoles. We can’t wait for A Game About Digging™ a Hole to land where many of you have been waiting for it. [/p]
[p]XBOX not listed yet [/p]
[p] [/p]
📱 Already available on Steam, iOS & Android
[p]If December 9 feels too far away, you can already dig on the go:[/p][p][/p]
While you're here:
[p]Our other project Solarpunk continues to grow - an open-world survival game set in a sustainable floating world. 🌿☀️Check it out on Steam and join the community and wishlist.[/p][p][dynamiclink][/dynamiclink][/p][p]rokaplay Team[/p]

💾 Autosave, Bugfixes & no more floating pixels!

[p]Hey everyone! 👋
A small but neat update for A Game about Digging a Hole is here:[/p][p]Autosave – the game now automatically saves when selling, upgrading, and at regular intervals (can be turned off in the settings).[/p][p]Achievements – fixed an issue where achievements could sometimes get “lost.”[/p][p]Localization – added missing translations in the UI.[/p][p]Performance – improved loading times and overall smoother gameplay.[/p][p]Voxel Plugin – small fragments of earth no longer float in the air but now disappear correctly. This also prevents players from getting stuck on tiny edges. So if you know someone who loves digging holes… now’s the perfect time. 🕳️✨ [/p][p]And if you’re into something bigger, check out our next project:[/p][p]SOLARPUNK – STEAM – an open-world survival game set in a sustainable floating world. 🌿☀️
