Work on the game - June

Welcome!

The Steam Next Festival is behind us. Thank you for playing the game demo. At the same time, we’d like to inform you that the demo content was just a portion of the features that will actually be in the final game.

We’ve been closely watching YouTube videos, Twitch livestreams, and the survey you filled out. Even though the festival has ended, we’re still receiving new responses. Thank you!

Interesting survey data:
 • 2 respondents used the trash bin (1.6%)
 • 60.2% of players chose the normal difficulty level
 • 13.8% of players didn’t use the map at all
 • 43.1% of players completed only between 0–5 tasks, while 8.9% completed more than 10
 • The most common terminal command was help
 • 71.5% of respondents have experience in the IT industry
 • 99.2% of respondents believe the game has the potential to be an educational tool

We’re doing our best to respond in real-time. Thanks to you, we’ve caught many bugs! We also added a few features to the demo to improve the gameplay experience. So what exactly was added during the festival?

New features and bug fixes during the festival
Added features
• Mail received several new settings. You can now disable notification sounds and choose which categories to receive notifications from (including Jobbly). In the Mail settings, you can also adjust text size and message style. We added some new emails too.

 • Terminal (cmd) – we added a new command bcdedit, which will have multiple uses in the game.
Changes
• Increased demo duration to about 45 minutes
 • Reduced volume for some sound effects
 • Added the ability to open network adapter properties with a double-click
 • Added more information to the map – displaying employees at their computers

What’s next?

As you know, development doesn’t stop with the demo. We continue building the game, aiming to create something we’d enjoy playing ourselves. So in June, we took a short break from game development – but that doesn’t mean we did nothing!

ForumHelp

We’ve added a forum with a few articles that should help you in the game. Everything you need to complete tasks can be found in ForumHelp or the PDF files.

Tablet – Mail

We mainly added the Mail app, so players no longer have to run to their computer – something many of you requested. We originally planned to include this at launch, but decided to add it now. You can browse emails on the tablet. However, changing Mail settings is only possible at your PC.

Tablet – Authentication

We’ve added some details about the last login and the most recent blocked login attempt.

Tablet – VirusPlus

We added a feature that allows you to copy VirusPlus activation codes to use on other computers.

Tablet – Settings

We’re currently adding tablet settings. So far, we’ve implemented:
 • wallpaper change
 • airplane mode
 • battery status
 • WiFi settings
 • tablet info (part of the "Main" tab)

We’ll keep working on this to make it the best we can. There’s still a lot to do with the tablet settings. For example, players will need to manually configure WiFi to connect to a network.

Tablet – File System

The most frequently mentioned feature in surveys. Thanks to this system, you’ll be able to transfer files between your PC, cloud, and tablet.

Computer – Settings

We’ve added several new wallpapers and a new color palette. You can now transfer .txt, .jpg, .png, and .pdf files to the cloud.

Computer – No OS

From now on, if the system is not installed, you’ll see a special screen informing you that no OS was detected. Previously, it only showed the Boot Menu.
