January/February - work on the game
Hey!
Today we’re coming to you with a few updates about the work on the game! Of course, we’re actively continuing to expand and improve it. We don’t want to reveal exactly what will be included in the March update just yet, but we can share a few secrets.
First of all, together with the update, you’ll have the option to support us by purchasing the Support Pack.
What does the DLC include?
If you’d like to support the project, this DLC is the perfect way to do it—while also gaining a few visual enhancements. Important!!! This DLC does not affect gameplay in any way and does not provide any advantage over other players!
March Update
Alright, let’s move on to the March update. We’re still working on expanding the networking system, which will freely allow us to create another workstation—the Network Administrator. Among the new tools we’ve already started working on and are slowly preparing for full development is a tool for conversations, decision-making, and similar interactions. This tool is very important for the ServiceDesk & HelpDesk positions.
OScypek System
We’ve introduced many changes to the system—adding new file types and new file databases that appear, for example, in emails. We’ve expanded some forumHelp threads by adding appropriate images or extending them with additional posts. We’ve also added many new websites that you’ll be visiting frequently at the beginning.
New Payment System
Previously, you could purchase things in the game—such as an antivirus license—by simply clicking buttons. Now, the fictional in-game payment system will be based on a real payment system used in Poland. Additionally, every transaction will need to be confirmed on a mobile device.
Text Copying
By default, the Unity engine we’re using doesn’t allow text selection, as many of you requested. In theory, we could have used ready-made solutions from the internet, which might or might not work. Unfortunately, since we don’t rely on the engine’s default functions and instead write many of our own, we created custom scripts for this. Of course, you won’t be able to select all text—we chose texts that may actually be useful to you, such as forumHelp, driver websites, wiki pages, and similar content.
New Graphics
As we’ve mentioned many times before, the March update will introduce a new visual style, and most objects have been improved in terms of mesh quality, polygon count, and vertices. Below you can see a few snippets from the object creation process.
Task Difficulty Breakdown
We’ve read many messages on Steam, in emails, and on Discord regarding the difficulty level. Some say the game is very easy, while others say it’s very hard. We’re planning a 4th difficulty level that won’t indicate whether you’re completing a task correctly or incorrectly. All tasks are assigned based on the player’s level. Currently, reaching level 7 unlocks all available tasks. Of course, the update will also introduce many new tasks.
Promotion
Since yesterday, you can once again grab the game at a discounted price. We hope the game finds its way into your game library!
